FunSR Pro Hands On Review (WIP)

So I thought I’d finally post a review for FunOSR’s latest product lineup the FunSR Pro, just a disclaimer I have NOT received any of their products for free but they were kind enough to offer me a coupon code for $10 off and I earn a bit of commission from that.

You can use coupon code: Cloudyfire over on the FunOSR website

1. Ordering, Shipping and Packaging

Ordering was easy enough on their website. They also have an Aliexpress storefront but the FunSR Pro is currently not listed on there yet but they have all the previous lineups (OSR+, SSR1, etc)
I only opted for the Open Receiver edition.

(Package arrived in a plain cardboard box with shipping labels)

Since the early October announcement I placed an order to take advantage (at the time) the free Desk Mount that came with early pre-order. Shipping time took only 7 days once I received the tracking number via FedEx (USA)
The Pro itself was wrapped in bubble wrap with an additional larger bubble wrap in the box.

I unfortunately received mine with a broken arm via shipping (they have since updating their packaging to be more hefty to prevent shipping damage) But they were quick to send me another arm so I could replace it.
The replacement was super easy to do which only involved removing screws at the mounts and joints.

2. Contents

They have a google document that lists everything included depending if you got the twist or not.

(Desk Mount, FunSR Pro Unit, USB-C cable, Power Adapter, Anti-Collision Wedge)

(Onahole pictured is a Magic Eyes Gokusai Uterus MoonShot that weighs 1.76lbs/0.79kg)

This onahole is pretty hefty with good weight to it and worked pretty well, with the Pro having the max weight support of 3kg.

3. Mounting

(FunSR Pro Desk Mount)

The included desk mount is pretty fantastic, it has 4 knobs to tighten the clamping force and a anti-colision wedge piece that you literally wedge between the Desk mount and the Pro so it provides a super solid mount.
I originally worried that the mount wouldn’t work for my desk since at the edge of mine it curves downward so I could never use any desk mount without it falling off. It is safe to say this one stays and stays solid because it extends so far back.

This is my solution for a mount where I can lay in bed:

Items Used:

(Simply need to install the Universal pole mounting VESA plate onto the FunSR Pro)

It will end up looking like this, the reason I have the mount pointed toward the outside of the panel is so I could just rest my legs on the wood surface, or even place a heavy pillow there for more comfort to rest my legs on so it can provide stability without tipping over.

4. Useage

I will update this later since when I was writing this I came down with a cold

The mount that you have here is interesting mostly because I have no idea how that would work with the Pro. The motors and arms are so strong that they shake my desk monitors so I would be very interested to hear if this works well as I may give it a try myself. My biggest complaint about this thing is that you can’t really angle it which requires me to lay back in my chair to some degree to get the full intended motion, but putting it on a hinge mount would fix that…

EDIT

I was 100% wrong here. I have a very heavy duty PC monitor mount that I’m not using right now, and after rigging the Pro up to it and then clamping it onto my desk, it worked like a charm. Being able to angle the thing up was a night and day difference (that I was looking for!). That being said, I suspect that a smaller arm would either break or struggle to keep the thing from moving around too much.

How long did it take for them to ship it out? I ordered mine about 14 days ago and haven’t received any communication from them since, and when I look on the site for tracking information it just says “unfulfilled.” I’m worried that I just spent 500 bucks on something that isn’t ever going to arrive, and I’ve had no luck contacting them.

They do shipments in batches since these are handmade. Mine took about 1 and a half weeks (so about as long as you’re saying here) to ship out from China, then about a week to get to me. Keep in mind that, with shipping and how close we are to Christmas, everything is overwhelmed right now, so it may take longer than normal. When I ordered mine, it gave me a link to an app called “Shop” where I got updates faster. It should have been sent to your email.

Yes that makes sense. I also received that email but for whatever reason I can’t get the app on my phone so I’m pretty much in the dark on whats going on with it.

I’m curious if you could use the website version of the app by copying the link from your email into your browser. Either way, rest assured it will get to you at some point in time… If you have any questions about the Pro, LMK. I’m happy to answer ^^
