Funsr Pro, please review if you have yours

Heya all,

So I got my Funsr pro, it was damaged upon arrival. I contacted them and they are sending parts, but the parts seem stuck in delivery. Ive had it since 11/24, but I cant turn it on. The twist plug was ripped out of the circuit board and Im afraid to smoke the board if I power it on. So, while Im waiting to get parts and then fix it myself. Can someone please give a review or thoughts or anything about it. Thanks in advance.

Side note, I finally got my Handy2 pro as well, but after reading some reviews I havent even opened the box yet. I’ve had that since wednesday 12/3.

Edit 12/7/25 I received my parts today. I would like everyone to know that the Funosr people were very good about getting me the parts I needed. They actually pre assembled some pieces with switches and etc that I could have re-used but this will make fixing it much easier than I had anticipated. the twist unit upper and lower case were smashed but the gears and stuff were fine, and they just sent a whole new assembled twist reciever, I cannot thank them enough. I should have time to assemble it this evening and use it tomorrow. Im having some dental work done and a few days off work, I cant think of a better way to spend my recovery, lol. My initial review should be posted sometime tomorrow evening.

Wait, wut? It was DOA and they expect you to repair it? Any compensation for your time and inconvenience?

yes, I will have to install the new parts whenever they get here. Its coming from china, so I did not expect to ship it back and have them repair it. If it was just a plastic part Im sure I could find someone to print it for me over here. I did not expect them to just ship me a new unit either, but 11 days in transit is fucking killing me. Also in the grand scheme of things any of the OSR or SR things are not exactly ā€œretailā€ products, you go into those knowing its on you when shit breaks, its part of it.

Mine came in with a broken arm via shipping (thankfully the only thing that was broken) but they sent me another one and it was a easy swap, so far so good, will prob do a more in-depth review later.

I also have a Handy 2 Pro that’s still sealed in the shipping box, I’m already wanting to offload the Handy 2 now that I got this device

Out of curiosity, why are you both on the fence regarding the Handy 2 ?

For myself its the lack of twist. I also have so many toys… I wanted the handy for the teledildonics part of it. I still might use it myself Im just not sure if i want to open it

I have an original handy and I just got a sr6 last week. I find the sr6 very complicated to use vs the handy. I think a handy + twist would probably be right up my alley. I think I could see myself using the sr6 which is running funsr firmware if there was a decent guide on how to connect it all and use it well (which there isnt imho) I just like how with the handy I can grab my VR goggles with all my media on it and then lie in bed with it. I cant do that with the sr6 unless I figure out a way to mount it while im lying down and then I still need to figure out how to hook it up to bluetooth. Its more of a toy for using whilst its connected to your computer.

I’ve already had a go at the other FunSR lineup, also after using the Funsr Pro a few times its ridiculously quiet and a big step up from their SSR1 lineups. I’ve had other strokers (Handy 1, Autoblow, Solace Pro, Nimble Stroker, few others I forget the name)

Mainly jumped on the discounted early bird price for the Handy 2 when they announced their campaign before the Funsr Pro was announced, then the Funsr Pro got announced and I jumped on that and even ended up receiving that before I got my Handy 2.
It being extremely quiet, multi-axis and can handle a lot of weight made me uninterested in another simple stroker even if was a upgraded simple stroker

This is almost exactly my story. I got the funsr before the handy2 pro as well, but thats because handy got like 6-7 weeks behind on the shipping. I got whatever was supposed to ship in october but I got it the day before thanksgiving. The thing here is I still do kinda want to use the handy for the live shows and to let others control it. hopefully T-code devices get added to funscript.org and then I can just use the funsr pro. The other thing is, after reading a few handy reviews from the people that got them in september seem mixed, some say its great others say its gonna break soon. just from the pics Ive seen the mounting holes and the usb-c port do seem to be a bad design.

I received one of the very earliest of these, and I was quite lucky as mine had no damage whatsoever when I received it. I’ve previously had the Handy, an SR6 that I built myself that served me surprisingly well as a first-time user of a 3D printer, then an SR6 from FunOSR which replaced my own build, a top-quality OSR2 that I realised was just overkill as I’m definitely not an at-desk user, and I would say that this new Funsr Pro is easily the best of them all, despite a few small caveats.

The two minor problems/disappointments I’ve had with it were that:

  1. The twist receiver was initially a bit too loud, seemed to keep spinning too far in the same direction and made a lot of ā€˜clicking’ sounds like it was slightly over-reaching its travel. This also detracted from the otherwise very quiet operating level of the machine. Since that I reduced the twist’s range in MFP which seems to have greatly reduced the problem, though sometimes it does get caught in a clicking pattern. This is really a minor concern though, and was just a dampener on my dreams of completely silent operation. With noise-reducing ear buds connected to my Quest 3 the sound was far less audible, and by using the ear defenders that had been a total necessity with the SR6, the external sound was completely reduced. (Another minor issue with the twist was that the fleshlight case would come loose at times but I’ve largely eliminated that with the use of padding, such as a little duct tape around the grooves of the sleeve before gently but firmly putting it in place. I also don’t remove the case each time but add/remove sleeves from the case within the machine, easy to do by lifting it to the top of its travel when switched off and just tilting the whole thing back a bit and lowering the sleeve in.)

  2. I have my machine set up for use in the bedroom, affixed to a monitor mount on a piece of board, which previously housed my SR6s. The way it’s set up, the height level is around the same as in the ā€˜twist’ video demo in the first post of @renwoxing post here: FUNSR PRO: The Most Powerful Stroke Device, Featuring Joint Motors, Is Launched - General - EroScripts
The main issue here is the completely uncovered cooling fan directly behind where the receiver (in my case a fleshlight) moves to the height of its travel and can occasionally accidentally release my physical parts into its whirring blades. This happened 2-3 times when I was getting the hang of setting the levels and each time came as quite a painful shock (though not physically damaging).
I have recommended some kind of mesh to cover the fan to renwoxing on Discord but he has yet to reply (I understand that he’s busy). In the meantime I’ve cobbled together a very basic solution with a couple of very thin strips of rolled-up duct tape going across the front of the fan and securely taped at the side, which have so far saved me from any more shocks.

If I had to add a third issue, it would be that at the moment it can be a bit unpredictable where the receiver will position itself to when I turn it on. It usually moves downward and leans left before settling, so I usually hold it a bit too high and leaning right, so it evens out. I imagine this is something that will easily be fixed with upcoming firmware, and also something that I’m getting much better at dealing with each time. I’ve only used it a max of 6-8 times as I’ve been really busy with life generally since I received it a while back.

But with those quibbles out of the way, for my purposes I think it’s absolutely wonderful: the movement is so smooth and consistent it’s not constantly reminding me that it’s a machine, which the handy always did with the ā€˜click’ at each end of its travel, and the SR6 did with its grainy movements. The immersion is spectacular, especially combined with the heated case and auto-lube I built as part of my SR6 set-up.

The few uses I’ve experienced of the vibration-type moments have been far more immersive than other devices I’ve used, and the brief moments of fast action have been less jarring. That said, I’m definitely a fan of slower scripts, immersive bj stuff etc rather than frantic pmvs and stamina testers, which I find just numb me after a little while. I guess I’m just a little old for that kind of wild stuff  So I can’t really speak to fans of the red/purple heatmaps directly, but for those who like slow and somewhat accurate-feeling moments, such as Qweer’s bj stuff and RC’s VREdging scripts I can’t recommend this highly enough. I was so excited when I first saw it I bought it as soon as it was on sale and I don’t regret it in the least.

Like quite a few others I jumped on the Kickstarter of Handy 2 out of some sense of Fomo and it’s still sitting entirely unopened in its courier packaging, I think I’ll most likely sell it on soon as I don’t want to turn my place into a fapping warehouse! This isn’t to diss Handy, just saying that the single-axis without twist probably doesn’t suit me now that I’m used to SR6 and FunSR Pro, which are slightly more specialised devices (and admittedly take a bit more setting up/putting away/maintenance which has maybe limited my recent uses during busy times).

So yeah, I’m not an official reviewer or anything, I haven’t had anything free, just a happy customer (with a couple of mild concerns that I’ve been upfront about). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone who’s already into these toys, especially fans of the smooth/immersive stuff!

Thank you for the review. I was thinking i would mostly use this device in a standing ā€œbjā€ position and I find the cooling fan positioning to be a concern. I am hoping @Renxing would consider looking into this for future design iteration. The fan can be covered with a mesh of some sort as is with many devices.

Secondly, I have a good experience with stepper motors and they are generally quiet compared to servos. My understanding is that the twist is run via a stepper motor, so I hope the creator can comment on this as well. Waiting a bit to hear back before splurging. Otherwise, I still believe this is the Ultimate Stroker device.

Thanks for the review! So far my experience has been about the same. I havent slipped out yet, lol. and yes, mine is exactly the same, get it a bit high left leaned to right turn it on and hope it comes out level (spoiler, its never level). I also have to have the top leaned a bit towards me or it hits me in the wrong place during the lowest part of the stroke limit. Its a bit of a pain to set stroke length every time I turn it on, I would like to see a ā€˜0’ or ā€œhomeā€ position that it just goes to like the OSR2 or SR6. The way it is currently, yea, I can get it close to where it was but if it ever disconnects or loses power etc, you have to shut everything down and start with getting it positioned pefectly before turning power on. So far in my experience if whatever player you use gets disconnected for whatever reason, you will have to shut it down turn the power off on the funsr then position it perfectly, turn power on, launch player of choice and its connected. If it disconnects and you turn the power to the unit off and leave the player up, once you turn on the power it stays for about 2 seconds and then just acts like there is no power and lets gravity pull the arms down. until you turn everything off and do it in sequence.

I have had it disconnect randomly during the first couple times using it, but it seems to be much more stable after like 8-12 hours of use. So far the record is 2.5 hours of continuous use on myself then a break and back at it for another 2 hours and a break, then not sure how long round 3 was, all gooning no cumming. Also using a quickshot vantage, so its really light compared to the 3kg limit they claim. Ive had a fair amount of toys over the years and this is by far the smoothest at any speed, like so smooth some of my favorite scripts for my OSR2 seem almost weak in this thing, and a few scripts that I thought were impossible jackhammers are amazing with this. twist is a bit louder than I had expected. I have read about limiting the travel but Ill be really honest here, I fucking love the motion, noise be damned. It is quieter than a servo, but in comparison the joint motors running the main arms are basically silent till you get into really high speeds. you will not wake the roommates if you turn the twist axis off, I don’t have roommates and even if I did fuck them, give me the twist.

We have to talk about the twist receiver and cases and the big ring gear and that whole mechanism. All of yall (I mean anyone of yall printing or making STL’s, yall need to tighten them clearances up. There is entirely too much play within all of it that there will always be a click clack thing going. so far the best way to stop that shit has been for me to take the entire thing apart, and pack it full of PLA friendly grease. When I say pack it I mean it, that way all those clicks and clacks cant happen with that much grease in the way to keep dry plastic parts from slapping around, you dig? I think the fan needs to be brought around to the bottom facing up, and personally Im going to look for a new 5v fan, this one is too loud. There are quieter options out there. Now I use a quickshot sleeve, I print out the bottom ring of the insulated case and glue a quickshot case in it and it clicks right in the twist. I feel like if this is the highest my load will be then Im probably going to remove the fan, Id like to aquire a laser therm for testing to make sure it doesnt get too hot after a few hours of use. For all the Plapbot hips and full sized fleshlights, Id probably leave it in or mod it somehow (just my 2 cents). I do plan on doing a full review in that section. I decided to wait untill Ive clocked a few hours in before I get really deep in that. Im only at like 20-24 hours use so Ill give it a bit yet.

So far tho, I love it, I hope it holds up. I wont be selling my OSR2, but I might have a Handy2 pro for sale, and a synchbot, lol.

Alright, this is basically a 1 month review.

I received mine on 11/21 and can also confirm that their shipping game needs to be improved like a mfer. My packaged arrived fucked up.

I’m surprised nothing fell out lol.

My unit came with a couple of superficial damages and a broken pitch arm and I got lucky as no electronics were busted.

I have a 3D printer so repairing it was not an issue. The unfortunate part however was that they were out of office until Monday and so I had to wait the entire weekend to get the files messaged.

Looks pretty slick two-toned.

I try to look at it from the perspective that these are 3D printed devices and that some potential repairs and maintenance can come with the territory, but this thing cost :money_with_wings::money_with_wings::money_with_wings: The shipping is horrendous and needs to be worked on. i didn’t get a good pic at the time but the packaging material was barebones.

As far as the device goes, it is amazing. Its so. fucking. quiet.
My FUNSR1 without the twist use to be the quietest device I owned and while not OSR2/SR6 loud, it is ā€œyou will need a few blankets to muffle thisā€ loud.

I have family that lives with me so i have to find a good time to use my FUNSR1 and even then I cant feel fully comfortable because these devices are suspiciously noisy. Again, not loud but loud enough that someone outside could walk by the room and think ā€œWhat hell are they doing in there? Let me bother this dumb bastard.ā€

I’ve had mine for a little over 4 weeks now. IMO, This thing is the Panther of Stroker robots, its a big silent beast. When I tested it and just watched it move up and down at Mach 5 with barely any noise reaching outside the room I laughed, I was like holy shit :joy:

My point is that the FUNSOR Pro is a game changer for my fellow stealth users. The only part that’s loud about it is the twist module if you choose to use it. The best way to put it it that the level of noise it makes is not out of place in a household. Not only that but it is powerful and its impossible to overheat. I’ve had some sessions that go on for a long time or use high speed scripts. It doesn’t get hot at all.

On the FUNSOR discord there is a link to a tutorial for adjusting the speed of the device. The device can go even faster but at the cost of it being louder. You can also alter maximum stroke length. I messed around with all of these but I found the default numbers to be perfect for me.

This thing has become my new main device and I’m happy with my purchase even though it was a rough start.
