Handy 1 & 2 Mini Review (+ Hands Free and FapTap)

hi,
i recieved the handy 2 last week and wanted to give some feedback to the community, to people who aren’t sure if its worth it or not, can’t decide between 1 and 2 and what i think about the common hands3 belt setup and the stanley vice setup. i’ll keep it short.

the handy 2 looks and feels very nice, better then the handy 1.

connection setup & stroke range:
first setup was easy for both, the app does a good job, no struggle.
afterwards, i had trouble with the handy 1 because it kept its bluetooth mode as standard and i couldnt change it (tried with the app but it kept resetting after turning it off and back on) which was very annoying. i had no problems with the handy2 so far, seems like wlan is the default connection setting. just turn it on and your good to go.
i also had problems regarding the stroke range with the handy1. it might be my imagination but i believe the stroke range was limited by the handy1 first and then by the app/faptap second as in the basic stroke range was set by the handy to 80% but the app/faptap told you its 100% for example. so before every use i had to check and max out the range in the handy via the buttons. no problems with the handy 2 so far, you also get visual feedback and you dont have to change modes in the handy to do that. stroke range with the handy2 is also bigger i believe.

noise:
handy 2 is quiter then the 1, if the handy 1 is a 10 (very loud) the handy2 would be a 7.5 tops with high speed, normal and slow speed nobody would notice. handy 2 movement are also “smoother” so that might be a reason why its quiter.

usage:
clear winner: handy 2. the biggest flaw with the handy 1 was the band and the sleeve (gen1) because it keept slipping all the time. it was an awful experience readjusting that sleeve every 5 minutes or so. to be fair, you can just buy the pro band and gen 3 and you’ll be totally fine. the magnetic clip is also a nice to have, just put your d inside the sleeve, put the band on and attach it to the handy2, very comfortable.

setup:
depends on your hands / handsfree setup:

  1. holding it: sucks, don’ do that.
  2. using a towel as a “belt”, putting the handy 1/2 on your belly and tucking the towel below your hips: much better then holding it but still sucks, it keeps moving around and you’ll have to readjust constantly. its also uncomfortable on your belly. works better with the handy 2 but it doesn’t matter because this setup is also terrible.
  3. hands3 belt setup by abdulis: did use it with the handy1. it works pretty well, kind of a hassle to setup the belts, you don’t get the full range of the handy because of the 3d print between you and the handy, starts hurting (the print and the belts) and it wobbles around during usage which i dont like most of the time but for some riding scences it was pretty good. the possibility to move around is pretty cool on paper, at the end i just used it lying down for normal scripts or standing simulating glory hole. my print broke eventually (i was using petg with 40% infill or something like that) and was scared to death for my dick because a script was running at high speed. sounds harsh reading that but besides that it works pretty well. if you like moving around getting fcked, getting some steps in or whatever you do it might be for you. no experience with the hands2 hands3 belt setup but its probably similar. still a decent handsfree option, thank you abdulis!
  4. stanley vice: starting with the handy1. it works. i wasn’t using any print, it felt kinda stable but i was still cautios using it that way. you have to be very careful not breaking it putting it in and also not hurting yourself in case it just slips out because its round. the hands3 + print setup is better then this for the handy 1. for the handy 2 i got the backboner print not sure who the creator is (good job though and ty!). it works great. you can lie down in your chair at the desk, no worries about the handy2 slipping out of something, no wobbling around. it just works and the print is pretty “thick” so i assume it won’t break as easy. the print is free aswell and cheap (using petg 60% infill). using the stanley vice the other way around you can just put the handy 90 degrees “upward” stand up and simulate glory hole for example. sleeve would be below the handy which makes it also save. thats the setup i recommend. setting everything up with the handy2 is a walk on the beach. my handy is always attached to the vice, so i take it out, clamp it to the desk, get hard, lube, sleeve, band, clip to the handy and start. takes me no time. removing it is just as easy. 3mins max.

battery:
is it necessary? depends on your setup. if you use an stationary setup like i do it doesn’t really matter, but its nice not having to manage that cable, its probably worth it. battery duration seems to be longer then advertised? i charged it twice after recieving it but it was always above 80% even after multiple sessions, i dont even notice it tbh and im using the handy frequently. so no reason for me to get the pro version.

all in all:
if you have to decide between 1 and 2, get the handy 2. if you dont care about overclocking the speed (i dont have that use case) and not having whole day long sessions get the standard version. you can also charge it during usage. i also recommend the stanley backboner setup, its the "no worries, no need to think and tinker around the whole time " solution.
if you already have the handy1, don’t care about noise and have a good hands free setup, keep it, get the pro band and the gen3 sleeve.

Edit:

faptap:
Most people probably use faptap, i rarely managed to match the sync, videos were offsync like 9/10 times. turning off vpn didnt help, so im not sure what was going on there. used both video options, tried matching the sync with both extremes (+ / - ms), checking the handyfeeling sync first and adjusting it there but didnt do anything. so no idea what was going on there, i gave up on that site, atleast for now, other then that great website if the sync works.

my go to is the handyfeeling local video player, works like a charm, just connect, setup your sync and off you go. brilliant.

peace out
