Handy 2 Hands-Free adjustable mounts for common stands and desks

All components (except the Desk Mount) are reversable in terms of up/down H2 controls and left/right-handed adjustments on the knobs.
For the strongest prints, refer to the print orientation image. There is a reason they are placed like this.

Printer orientation:


Please note the orientations in the image above when you are printing. These are set up this way to minimize fractures and fails, and to not fail in a catastrophic (H2 dropping) manner. Depending on your support choices, rotating vertically 180 degrees is perfectly fine.

Monitor Stand Mounts:
There are two versions; one has a hole for inserts if you have the tools to do that. Just a note, that in my testing, the knob version works better and is easier to use, but to each their own.

Mic Stand attachments:
There are two versions; the narrow “boom” mic-attachment (for sitting, standing, laying down) and the Wide version that mounts to the actual stand itself (for standing).

Printer Infill suggestions:
All the attachments except the H2 Holder and Desk Mount Clamp should be printed with at least 25% infill. This has been more than strong enough in my experience, but you might want to go higher on heavier H2 sleeves and attachments, though I wouldn’t suggest going higher than 50%, you’re just wasting material.

Note: You might hear a “crack” when installing a Mic Mount attachment to the stand the first time you clip it on. This is normal, depending on your infill, it’s tight on purpose, and due to the suggested print orientation, it will not fail.

H2 Mount and Desk Mount Clamp:
I suggest printing 100% infill on the H2 holder and at least 50% on the Desk Mount Clamp.

Model Prep:
You will need to insert a bolt into the holes before you connect two or more components to clean out any remaining support bits and printer imperfections. This will make mating the parts much easier.

Every printer and filament differs slightly, but these should be good starting points.

Note: The Desk Mount clamp has 3 screw slots for those that use heavier attachments or add a second extension to the clamp. For extra strength add all 3 screws. I doubt screws will be necessary if you print at 100% infill.

Extenders, you can connect additional extenders in any configuration, but I wouldn’t suggest more than two total on any setup.

H2 Mic Side attachment:
I designed this for more stability/center of balance and with easier access to the controls. You will need at least one extender if you use the Wide version of the Mic Stand Mount.

Tightening knobs and bolts:
Only hand-tighten all knobs and bolts. If you can lift the monitor stand or mic stand by holding just the mount, you are good to go.
Seriously, do not use wrenches to tighten the clamp to a desk or table, or to tighten any other knob more than finger-tight. It’s plastic and it will keep everything in place exceptionally well just having it hand tightened.

In all honesty, I use the Monitor Stand and H2 Holder combo almost exclusively. It’s very compact and the easiest to set up for me, though I almost always use a bed or recliner. This stand comes with some cable management too if you need to plug in the H2.

My mic stand is a bit wobbly even with weights, so while it’s cool, it can break up some immersion.

I’ve only used the desk mount for “testing” purposes. It survived both tests and I didn’t see any cracks. Just be careful, if you overtighten it, it will crack. It will likely still survive many sessions even if it does, but you only need to finger tighten it enough to where it won’t pull away from the desk.

Also, I should state I use PLA+ for my prints and all of the components I’ve used/tested are still in the draft .24 mm layer format. I haven’t needed anything stronger for the filament or any other setting for the layer size yet. Every printer is different, so please take the time to do a dry run on what you consider an intense script before doing anything else with it.
