Handy 2 Offline with Bluetooth setup

Hello. I’ve used Intiface/buttplug + scriptplayer + Wirligig in steam offline to play scripts offline without issue. With the Handy 2 in legacy bluetooth mode, script player says its connected, but it doesn’t move. Does anyone know if this setup should work with the handy 2? Or is there another way to play scripts with it offline. Local scripts+video files, no internet access.

Thanks.

Buttplug connection should work fine, I use it offline with my h2p. If your okay with using a phone screen imo the easiest offline option is just the handy apps native player.
Not sure why your setup isn’t working with the h2, but for troubleshooting (assuming you aren’t/haven’t done this already) maybe try resetting the settings via the app, restarting the device and connecting it to legacy mode using only the button commands. Or try using an older version of intiface, the sweet spot is around version 2.6.8 iirc

brand new handy 2 myself, and intiface and multiple apps like musicvibes and subwoofer do not register.

Only registered motion is selecting Toggle Oscillation via Intiface, either through standard bt mode of legacy bt mode. My assumption is it is Handy FW related bs.

Interesting, can’t weigh in for those specifically since I don’t use them, but your probably right
Downgrading to a previous version might help, but idk, it’s honestly pretty frustrating how many issues with the h2 are just from new software :sob: the h1 worked fine for the most part, and pretty much every new update has broken more stuff and fixed nothing

My own recent Handy 2 Pro Bluetooth experience goes as follows:

In Wifi mode, when I use the onboarding app to access the device and it asks to connect to bluetooth it usually works, occasionally it has come up “failed connection” or just failed to find anything, but mostly it works.

When I set it to regular bluetooth mode nothing connects - not Intiface and not the onboarding app either.

When I set it to legacy bluetooth mode Intiface will connect, but within about 40 seconds of something asking it to actually move, which it does initially, it will reboot back to wifi mode on its own.

I am on the list waiting for a replacement for a failed battery, so I have been hoping the replacement will have functioning bluetooth as well. Although I cannot absolutely rule out that it is a software problem, I would be surprised if that would cause reboots like this.
