my handy 2 pro arriving tommorow (upgrading from 1.1) and im kinda getting cold feets now after reading about all the problems… is there anything other problems than the charging port and charging problems i should be wary of??
If you downloaded any script tokens from IVDB.IO then they will not work with the new toy - they are DRM linked to your Handy 1 connection key, so they will fail to load in they new toy. And FIN (the Ohdoki AS system) doesn’t know that.
Support is slow - responses take at least a week - and then about 24 hours per reply after that.
The built in screw threads are M8; a monitor arm holds it securely via the bottom thread, and you can invert up and down in the app to match the toy’s orientation.
Goodluck is all I can say it’s best to use their official mount but if you really want to you can get a refund since you haven’t received the package yet or used the dvice
My first one (an early bird purchase) had a loose USB connector after a couple of months. They replaced it with a brand new one within 10 days. The second one has been rock solid.
I’ve got two H2Pros that I use multiple times a week. Both are going strong.
i had a strange issue where the temp sensor was pegged at over 100C, which was wrong. the device had a defective temp sensor and would make it so it would not work. i just got my replacement earlier this week and this one also has issues. when i first booted it up and gave it a test before using it, it sounded like nothing inside was lubed at all. it was about 2 times as loud as my first one which worked amazing until the temp sensor thing. I am in contact with them about this issue now, still waiting for a response.
when its working it is maybe the best stroker on the market. it works so well. but there seems to be a be a quality control issue here.
i will say however their customer service has been wonderful. sooo maybe you get a good one and its never an issue, but if you do have one they seem happy to help.
I forgot one: the magnet in the strap holder falls out and sticks to the magnet on the slider (you’ll understand when it arrives). The official fix in the FAQ is simple “glue it back in”. You’ll notice it’s happened when it’s hard to get the holder and sleeve on without looking at what you’re doing (wearing a 3D headset for example)
I still think osr2’s are better they are quite small as well
It depends on your criteria. The Handy 2 Pro has several advantages. For me, the fact that I can use the H2P from my VR headset without needing a PC is a big plus.
All these devices from big companies are single axis paying that much and being locked to one axis is not good.
