For anyone here for a solution, use syncopathy in HSP web mode.
UPDATE: HSP works! HSSP does not. I don’t know why the players try to connect over HSSP and not HSP because apparently HSSP is not supported on FW 4 (according to an official Handy dev). Is this known? Should HSSP work regardless? I heavily doubt, HSP/the HP2 has so little “support”?
Otherwise, when trying to play a script through HSSP I get the responsse code 500 with the response:
{“name”:“INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR”,“message”:“Failed to setup hssp. Please try again or contact support if the problem persists.”}
There’s only two other users on Discord I saw that had this issue, with one claiming it was just a temporal issue. The issue hasn’t resolved for me for a while though.
Is an MCU reset worth it? I tried a factory reset as well, and the usual reconnection, rebooting, firmware downgrade attempts.
Hey thanks, however the question is still unanswered. Shouldnt HSSP work? The onboarding app fails playing the sample videos for example, I assume HSSP should work but it doesn’t. HSP is just a workaround.
My interpretation of the response from TheHandy rep was that it isn’t supported so the original question about why there is a failure to connect is answered.
We can remove the resolved mark if you disagree. In that case you should explicitly do @ handyAlexander and try to involve him in the discussion about why it isn’t supported.
This is a reasonable conclusion, but the onboarding app not using HSP and failing directly is an indicator that argues something isnt working correctly.
I recommend the native version. I haven’t updated the web version in a while and am currently unable to do so because of dumb flutter web incompatibility issues.
If all you want is drag and drop plaback of scripts you can use the simple mode by passing simple via the CLI --simpleReleases · ofs69/syncopathy · GitHub
Yes, the native version is better. I gave the web one for people wanting to quickly test if it actually solves the issue, instead of having to first download the program.
