So my handy just stopped working the other day, the handy would turn on and connect to everything just fine but the slider just would not move at all. I sent them an email about it but have yet to hear anything back yet. However I started digging around in the app, and I noticed that the temp on the motor was pegged at 102.36 c. This does not make sense because the thing had been on for all of a minute and the motor had not moved at all.
So I did a test and set the max shut off temp to 120c to see if the motor would move at all if that was the case, and it did. Also the temp does not go up or down at all its just locked at 102. I’m not sure if the temp sensor has failed or not, but I did figure out why it has stopped. If anyone else has run into the issue where your handy will turn on, connect to everything okay but not work at all this might be worth looking into to see if this is also your issue. Also if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this that would also be cool. still waiting to hear back from the handy team.
UPDATE: Tonight I got an email from support, they asked to verify my address so that they could move forward with steps on the ticket and that they will likely be replacing my unit.
However, they added that there is no ETA on when that would be processed and asked me to be patient.
Kind of a bummer, but it is what it is I guess.

I have a similar situation, I got my Handy 2 base model March 11, and it was working great until last week. I did notice the device getting hot after a session last month but it didn’t stop working or put up any errors, but it was noticeably hot.
Then last week it stops completely, maybe 10 minutes in, and gives an overheating error. I give it 8-10 hours and turn it on again, and the motor doesn’t wake up or move at all. Connects to WiFi/Bluetooth just fine, even reconfigured through the Onboarding app. I saw your post and checked my device info as well, I believe the temp sensor is faulty or popped, as it’s displaying at 102°f.
Here’s my RPC state if anyone else sees something:

This device has a lot of problems

thats a bummer, this is a little different however. the device is not hot at all. in fact when this photo was taken the device had been off for about 2 days and had only been on for all of 60 seconds. it seems like the sensor is misreading something.
I really hope these guys work out the kinks in this product because when its working its awesome, but it seems like there is a new issue cropping up every day.

Did You hear from Handy? I went to use mine today and its doing the same thing. Pegged at 102.36 and it had been plugged in and not run since the previous night. it will turn on connect and do everything else but move.

i still havent heard anything either, ive turned it on once a day since submitting a support ticket and the same issue. connects, but no motor movement.
thankfully i kept my Handy1, otherwise i mightve lost my mind
Handy1 is still going strong, honestly the only reason i got a 2 was for the noise factor and while it is much quieter, i feel like the motor gives out more easily during use compared to the 1, when the sleeve goes all the way down. (maybe a personal girth problem, idk
)

So they sent me the basic follow up to my ticket. like hey try this stuff and if this does not work let us know whats going on. i gave them the run down on what i found and that was on tuesday. sooo yeah im waiting.
Well that’s a disappointment, one would think that the customer service would be better with the price paid for these things. guess that’s what I get for the kickstarter early bird. I wonder if they pushed something in a recent firmware and a lot more of these are going to start seeing this. I wish there was an option to rollback firmware to try and see if that fixes it.
this was my thought too. i had done an update maybe a week before the issue showed up.
