🔬 Handy 2 Pro: The Ultimate In-Depth Review - UPDATED 22.10

Yeah, feels like we were the beta testers. It’s a bit unfortunate, not gonna lie. Supporting and buying something so early, usually doesn’t do much benefit. Now that I see what the new batch is getting, you can get a feeling of “Why did I purchase it so early?”.

I really like the Handy 2 Pro and I am glad I got it so early. But you still feel a bit … hmphf.. ^^

First of all, Great review!
Second, have you or know of anyone testing it with any other sleeves besides Handy or Onahole? I was hoping someone would test it with either Kiiroo or Fleshlight Sleeves.

Thank you!

Not sure how practical this would be. These sleeves are pretty long and soft and you would need to properly strap them in order for them not “flopping” around.

the KIIROO and flashlight sleeves comes with their own cases and I was thinking about strapping the cases to the handy 2 using the Velcro straps. For example how does the handy 2 compare with the KIIROO Keon, the fleshlight launch and the autoblow ultra.

Ahh, I see. I thought you wanted to strap the loose sleeve to it ^^
Should be possible. But would need a specific holder. For Fleshlights, the blueprint is already available. For anything non-Fleshlight, you would either make your own 3D printed adapter, or find a DIY solution. Which is probably also possible.

Awesome thanks, what about different ranges at max speed? There is an official video with full speed but none at different ranges

Uploaded the STEP files they released a few months ago. STEP is a bit easier to edit in CAD. The Extender is not part of it.

yeah

Glad I can no longer suffer the regret of being part of the standard batch gang. How often do you grease it? Like before each use on OC?

Can’t believe they didn’t make it round. There goes the standard camera parts compatibility and access to near limitless mounting options. Such a shame.

Too true. I was in shambles when I realized my handy belt is useless. Now I won’t be allowed the possibility play dance dance revolution with it or move around in VR.

Depends, but mostly weekly so far but if I did a lot of OC scripts then I will add some after 3-4 days. I just need better grease (currently suboptimal grease for that) the Handy team will actually release a maintenance kit. With the amount of people saying they had to regrease already (even not OC) because the first batch was pretty had in that regard, I am surprised it’s not available yet

I have been using mine in OC pretty frequently as well but a quick question, is there a guide specifically for how to properly regrease the handy 2 or is it basically the same process as the handy 1? couldn’t find anything in the official documentation when i searched a while ago.

Thanks or the extra info! :people_hugging:

I do it the way I did it with the Handy. I have a small sprayer for the grease, I make sure to grease the screw inside as much as I can then I let it run for a minute at low speed.

Just received my Pro2.
The kickstarter said there was supposed to be a sleeve dryer in the early bird set. Any1 knows whats up with that? There was none in my box

With the sleeve, for me its just the black support to keep vertical when drying.

Oh. It’s the new case? The black stand that the sleeve comes with?

As I understood, yes. Or maybe I’m wrong. Personally I was not expecting something “more complicated” like something with USB dryer, for something added during kickstarter if I remember well.

I got mine today. Feels well made and it is fairly quiet!

I was also surprised that it was missing the sleeve dryer. Or so I thought. Apparently it was integrated into the sleeve container. I would have preferred a separate item as it makes no sense to open the standard sleeve case when you want to dry another sleeve.

One really big complaint. USB-C is very picky for the charger. The device requires so much current, that it temporarily shuts down my Samsung 35W charger (over current protection). So basically I cannot charge it with my “best” charger. Handy should have better logic for choosing a proper charge current.
