Handy cant keep up with scripts

My handy have been having a lot of issues keeping up with the script speed. At first I thought, I was just using scripts that were too fast, but then I tried using a script that was specificly made for the handy 1. With its max speed being around 540 or something like that, but My handy stil stop randomly during the scripts, almost like its stuttering.

if you are using the Bluetooth connection it might help if you switch over to the wifi connection.

Ok I’ll try, but can I still connect to Intiface central on my pc using wifi?

The Handy only has so much torque - what you can think of as pushing power. If the sleeve is very tight, if you have the strap cinched down too much, or if your anatomy is girthy the Handy doesn’t have enough power to force the sleeve onto you. In that case the Handy stops, which can shorten strokes significantly.

I have limited myself to the Handy’s basic v2 sleeve because it has the thinnest opening, which offers the least resistance with my body. With the Handy 2 Pro I found I had to unlock the full overclock to notice a significant difference in power, but that does allow for full strokes with the v2 and v3 sleeves - something I never got with the Handy 1.

It might depend on the software you’re using to read your scripts: i’ve recently switched from MultiFunPlayer to ScriptPlayer because Handy support for MFP is still experimental and the Handy struggles to keep up on that soft, where on ScriptPlayer the same scripts are much more reliable.

I tried using scriptPlayer when I first got it, but thought it was too confusing so I switched to Multifunplayer. Also ScriptPlayer doesnt support DeoVR.

That might be the cause then sadly. Yeah i don’t have a silver lining for you for DeoVR support, that’s a net loss, but for the complexity i was in the same boat at first but i kinda like it now, i took a while to setup a playlist on my local files, and then it has less settings than MFP like interpolation, speed limit, etc.
I’ll be honest idk how to fix this issue by staying on MFP, but some might be more familiar with it than me

Tried setting the handy up on ScriptPlayer and I still have these momentary stutters or moments where it just seems to give up for 0.5 sec.

EDIT: compared the two and ScriptPlayer seems to stutter a lot less than, when im using MFP where it just seems to give up.

did you install Intiface?
connect_intiface

Then use your personal connection key generated from the handy onboarding app.

Bare in mind its not my connection key and even if it was my connection key how would you know when I’m using my handy LOOOL. Somebody has to be seriously bored…

Then connect your handy via script player and voila you are connected via wifi and no longer bluetooth.

or…if you don’t have hdd space you can connect via phone and use faptap only use your connection key there. For script player to eliminate lag you need intiface to connect to wifi not bluetooth. You will disconnect almost everytime due to interference of script positions updating every second.

Next best option is HereSphere but everytime i save money for it i end up buying scripts instead…

@nerfarious837 you might want to censor that second screenshot, your connection key is visible

its not my connection key its random for an example. My connection key is over 15 characters long. So whoever is going to hack it good luck.

ok gotcha, sorry then i just wanted to warn you just in case, paranoid about that kind of things lmao

i will laugh if somebody hacked my handy device…the lengths of boredom L  L

Can confirm I’m having the same issue. Been using EDI and Intiface. Bluetooth (Intiface) the scripts are extremely jittery, wifi (via EDI) the scripts often stop at seemingly random points.

This behaviour even occurs when nothing is strapped into the handy. Additionally, I have zero issues with scripts played via Heresphere. I have a feeling maybe the recent firmware update borked something to do with how the device loads scripts, so the issue doesnt present itself on long videos.
