Handy + Quest for Offline VR?

I currently do a fair amount of my content consumption offline or in places with limited internet. My standard setup has been XBVR in Docker as a media server, Heresphere on Quest, and Kiiroo toys driven directly from Heresphere.

I recently bought the Handy 2 Pro, inspired by the hype, but also the portability, responsiveness and ability to work both through WiFi and Bluetooth. Some of you already know where this is going…

As far as I can tell, the only Quest app that supports the Handy over Bluetooth is DeoVR, and DeoVR refuses to support haptics at all except when streaming scripts online from SLR.

Am I right so far? Does anyone know of another decent VR player for the Quest with support for the Handy over Bluetooth? Or a way to get DeoVR to support haptics offline? (I do have an SLR premium + scripts subscription)

If driving the Handy from the Quest is a dead end right now, is there a simple script player for Linux that will use intiface / buttplug.io and Heresphere’s timestamp server to drive the Handy? I’m struggling to find anything that’s not Windows, or a browser plugin, neither of which I want to add to the mix if I can help it. The simpler the better for me - I don’t need a GUI, web interface, video player, or multi-axis support - just the ability to connect (and reconnect) to a Deo/Heresphere timestamp socket, select a script, and play it through Intiface Engine.

Your best bet might be to ask the HereSphere dev about this? There’s a thread already here requesting it, if a few people chime in then maybe they’ll take another look—
