Help finding suitable Handy 2 mount

Hello all.

I would appreciate some help finding a suitable mount for my newly purchased Handy 2. I initially intended to use it hand-held but after seeing all the posts about mounts I would like to purchase one. The issue is that there are lots of options, some of which are inaccessible to me due to not owning a 3D printer.

I would appreciate some help finding a mount based on the following:

  • I intend to use the handy laying down or kneeling.

  • I can clamp it to the side of my bed or a foldable lap desk (I can’t remember the proper name of it).

  • I am interested in the idea of a belt mount.

  • I would like to keep the cost lower than that of the official mount UNLESS what you are suggesting is much easier to set up and use.

  • Please prioritise ease of assembly when considering options.

And yes, I have browsed the many various threads discussing possible mounting options but they are quite overwhelming and not many discuss use whilst laying down. Those that do include solutions which do not appeal to me or would require more assembly than I am willing to undertake.

The Handy 2 has a standard tripod mount socket, so any camera tripod or universal mount with a 1/4"-20 screw should work. Look for mounts designed for stability and adjustability, especially if you plan to use it hands-free. Many third-party mounts are available online without needing a 3D printer.
