HereSphere VR Video Player for Quest 2/Pro/3 supports Handy, Keon, Launch and Passthrough

Nice, that you are looking into it, and it makes sense. Thanks for working with the app!

I hope this gets back ported to the Go

Hey I will be purchasing to help support! just checking though is the version on steam the latest .4 version?

also If I buy the one from ich.io will I have to buy it again when it comes out officially on the oculus store?

The version on Steam is for PC. It doesnā€™t have native handy support yet, but it should be added this week. The itch.io version is for the Quest 2, and has native support handy support. If you purchase the app through itch.io, I will try my best to get you an oculus store key once itā€™s available. However, it depends on whether Meta allows me to generate enough keys.

Does or will Heresphere support launch, gearvr funscript playback?

Native support for the FL Launch will be added after the buttplug dev finishes packaging the library for android. He expects it should be ready later this week, so itā€™ll probably take one or two weeks for me to integrate buttplug into HereSphere. Iā€™m not planning on supporting GearVR or OculusGo at the moment. It requires rolling back to an older unreal engine build, and maintaining the project would become difficult. Itā€™s a shame, because if I had enough time, it would be possible to port it to those older platforms.

@HereSphere the player support webxr? Because i tried on Slr and naughty america (streaming) and its impossible to open video in Vr mode only 2d work

To stream the video in VR mode, you can click on the download link in the HereSphere web browser. SLR also supports the DeoVR API, so if you press the webstream button (looks like a play button with radio waves) in the upper left corner of the web browser, you can view and stream websiteā€™s video library in a convenient interface. I plan on adding actual WebXR support in the future.

Thank you for your reply. Sounds like you guys are pushing hard keep up the good work. If support does not come for the gearvr or occulusgo what would be the set up to stream vr + funscrirpt and launch once the dev completes the package? basically what set up would I need to buy to make it work with the player.

Thanks again!

You would need a Quest 2 for it to work, and then sideload the HereSphere apk from itch, or wait until HereSphere is available on the Oculus Store or App Lab.

@HereSphere looking forward to the PC support for this feature! I purchased Heresphere from the Steam store a few months ago based on the recommendation of other members on this forum and Iā€™ve been 100% satisfied. Canā€™t wait as you add more and more features!

Happy devving.

@HereSphere absolutely love the VR player, I use it with my HP Reverb G2 permanently now. Gnabbed it during a steam sale awhile back.

One thing I do wish was that the file browser could have more file sorting options (referring to creation date that you can toggle while browsing local videos in seperate folders to sort)

The biggest thing I wish was added was a ā€œSort by Modifiedā€ Since Iā€™m a organizer-andy by Pornstar name, VR, etc. Older created folders if I were to dump more recent videos of that particular star will get lost to the ā€˜Creation Dateā€™ of the folder so Iā€™d have to constantly try to remember what dozens of new content I added to my library.

If I should direct this suggestion over on the discord server let me know :+1:

Is there a way to create bookmarks outside of HereSphere? If I want to break a video up into scenes, I love that HS supports this, but I find creating fiddly things like that in VR hard.

Maybe another approach could be a metadata file, so [video-name]-bookmarks.txt, containing a CSV, or JSON of bookmarks

00:00:00,Beginning
00:04:37,Action name
00:07:24,Finale

If thats possible, it would be neat to export a ā€œscene listā€ from OFS.

Iā€™m thinking of adding an option to always sort folder alphabetically, even when the ā€œCreation Dateā€ sort is selected, so itā€™s easier to find your folders. The modified date is when the video is edited by the studio, so usually that isnā€™t as helpful for videos. Else, I can make it so that folders use modified dates, and then videos use creation date.

Iā€™m working on reading in timestamps from XBVR. The video tag editor in HereSphere is actually quite fast once you get used to the controls, and the keyboard input has autocomplete for tags. Iā€™ll add reading metadata files to the to-do list.

100% on the modified dates on the folders, itā€™d be a huge QOL update for sure :+1:

Thatā€™s fantastic thanks. I noticed some people are using ā€œ.hcā€ files from handy control for time stamps, theyā€™re just JSON files so they might work too.

Glad to see independent Oculus Quest native/local support of funscripts being developed. Any info on how soon HereSphere will support funscript playback for other devices such as Kiiroo Onyx+ or Keon?

I just checked out heresphere player, am I trippen or the video quality look much better than deovr/slr player?

Any update when the steam version will have .funscript support?
