High end VR headsets

I would say to stick with the Quest 3 for now - the value it provides is the best hands-down. I do not think we are quite there yet for high-end VR headsets that can do it all without some compromises. I find that the simpler approach is often the better one here. I do not have to fuss with my Q3 and can get a good enough experience for the money. Now, as with everything, given more time there will be improvements in this space to start looking into higher end VR headsets, I do not think right now is the time to do it.

Quest 3 or Quest 3S is all in all the best one https://www.sexlikereal.com/blog/216-whats-the-best-headset-for-vr-porn

Hey everyone, one year after I tempt to revive this topic to know if the status changed in terms of VR headset, Meta Quest 3 still the best option ? Something in the horizon that looks great ? I’m still on the Quest 2 and hesitate to purchase the Quest 3 if something better is coming soon.

I got my eye on the upcoming Steam Frame. I’ll wait for reviews but it looks very promising.

I’m on Quest 3 right now, AR is king. Waiting for the samsung headset (4k on each eye) to drop into stores near me for my next setup.

The Quest 3 (NOT the 3s) is a much better image than the quest 2.

The pancake lenses eliminate the fresnel lens artifacts. Basically, you’re no longer looking through screen doors. Better resolution and better FOV makes the upgrade a no-brainer IMO.

Try the Q3 (again… NOT the Q3s) for about 2 hours and then put your Q2 back on. You’ll be amazed at the difference.

In addition to what @NeoScripter said, the Quest 3 has GPU accelerated AV1 decoding/playback. What this means in practical terms is you can natively watch AV1 videos on the Quest 3. If you download videos in AV1 or convert to AV1 to save space this is very convenient.

Note that the Q1, Q2, and even the QPro cannot play AV1 - just the Q3 and Q3S.
