Hi, I have a keon and have been wondering if i should upgrade (or sidegrade) to the handy 2 pro. I like the keon because of the different sleeves but the sleeves can now be mounted on the handy 2.
Are the strokes that much better on the handy 2? and are the strokes still fine using a mounted fleshlight for example?
The Handy 1 and 2 have always been better than the Keon just in terms of strokes. They’ll have better top speeds and bottom speeds, on top of being able to handle more complicated funscripts with more points.
If you’re looking to outright replace your Keon, probably go with a Handy.
If you’re looking for something new or a big upgrade, for about the same price/slightly cheaper you can look into multi-axis.
I got the Handy 2 pro as a backer for the Kickstarter and previously had the Handy 1 for a little while before that. Having experience using both if I were to be brutally honest about both to someone deciding between getting one or the other I would say this;
TL:DR - Handy 1: cheaper, slightly slower, louder | Handy2/pro: expensive, slightly faster, quiet
Battery/Power: The Handy 1 is slightly limiting given it needs to be plugged in to work. The Handy 2/pro has it own battery which after using it for some time is both great and can be a slight annoyance. Forget to charge it and boom mood ruined before or in the middle of use. It can be used while charging if you have a USB-C 65w charging brick.
Speed/Stroke Length: The Handy 1 is slightly slower than the Handy2/pro which after using both I can say you probably can notice but I don’t know I wouldn’t say its a massive upgrade to justify paying ~double the price of the Handy 1 unless you have the cash to burn. The Stroke length on the Handy 2 is slightly longer than the Handy 1 and at times I do notice that but again I don’t know if a few mm is worth the price difference unless again you have money to burn.
Noise: This was the biggest thing I noticed after using both the Handy1 and 2pro. the Handy 2/pro is significantly quieter than its predecessor. If you are worried about noise or anything at all I would suggest going with the 2/pro in a heartbeat.
