Hello, there is a post with the same name but it is impossible to reply since it has been archived by the system.
(How to extract downloaded videos from WSplayer (DRM PLAYER))

Went and got some jav films but they are only playable with WSplayer. I want to download the actual file to my own computer but no idea how to go about this. Does anyone have any experience with doing this?

I am unable to message any of the participants so I would like to know if the issue was resolved since I am facing the same problem.

nope, @VladTheImplier messaged me a while ago and said he was still trying. I’m not a code guy but from what I understood the encryption is very beefy to get through

I have been looking everywhere for this and it seems that the main issue is the player (WSPlayer).

There are many old programs to decrypt traditional WMV files, but this WSPlayer is different and the company that produces it is even advertising it so they are (most likely) working hard to maintain the protocol hacker free.

The only thing that gives me hope is that is seems to be created using Electron so it might be easier to crack that something made with C++.

On a side note, have you tried using an HDMI capture card?

I am waiting for mine to see if I am at least able to get a passable rip.

if you can send me any info you have. and a file i can use to work on. I like to do this kind of thing for fun. But i have never heard of wsplayer.

Thanks for looking into this.

WSPlayer is the media player that you have to use to watch digital downloads from this japanese site (which has mostly videos of japanese models): https://www.eic-book.com/

I can’t share a video with you because it is too heavy and I might get into trouble for sharing it (sorry).

The file you download from the site has a .wmv extension, but the windows player does not recognize the encrytpion and so all the old methods of cracking WMV don’t work (and they are from the year 2008 anyways).

The player can be downloaded from here: https://www.idol-mile.com/player.

It is called WS Player and works on Android and iPhone as well as Windows.

One interesting thing I read from their site is that the software on windows at least is made with Electron.

Another thing I noticed when using the player is that the first time you reproduce the video it asks for your credentials to the site, but afterwards it does not. So perhaps the decryption key is stored somewhere in the hard drive or registry.

So I mean. I really dont want to have to buy a video just to crack this for you. You can upload one to a host like mega or pixeldrain and DM me the link if you want. But i really need the file so i can break it down and look into what its doing
