By default, every VR videos seems to look too big and blury. I tried messing with the advanced settings but the only workaround that I found is to decrease to true fov slider, but I feel like this isn’t the correct solution
What’s the proper way you calibrate vr videos on heresphere?
what headset do you have?
I would try looking to modifying your file names:
Stereoscopic Mode Suffixes
_LR or _3D: Left-Right (Side-by-Side)
_RL: Right-Left
_TB or _3DV: Top-Bottom
_BT: Bottom-Top
_2D: Monoscopic (flat screen) [1]
Projection and Lens Suffixes
_360: Equirectangular 360
_180: Equirectangular 180
_F180 or _180F: Standard Fisheye 180 (Linear Lens SBS)
_EAC360 or _360EAC: Equiangular Cubemap
_MKX200: iZugar MKX200 Fisheye 200
_MKX22: iZugar MKX22 Fisheye 220
_VRCA220: VRCA220 Fisheye 220
_RF52 or _FISHEYE190: Fisheye 190
Helps the program to know which setting to use by default for each video. Otherwise you need go into the settings and modify them if they don’t look good (usually only needs to be done once per video).
The resolution of your headset might be on the lower end which could affect scaling?
It’s been a long time since I first set up Heresphere on my Reverb G2 but I seem to remember it just working. Sometimes if a file doesn’t have the right suffixes like peterscr1 said, I’d have to go to basic video settings and adjust projection and stereo. Rarely, but sometimes I’d have to go into the advanced video settings and try out different lenses if it still looked off. You can also try asking on the Heresphere discord. The dev has been really helpful to me whenever I’ve had a question.
