How to work with Quest, USB OTG and funscripts?

Is there any way to put the video file + funscript on a USB drive, plug that into the Quest and play them?

So far,

  1. DeoVR doesn’t seem to support local funscripts supports local funscripts, but not USB OTG drives
  2. Heresphere supports local funscripts, but not USB OTG drives
  3. 4XVR supports USB OTG drives, but doesn’t seem to support funscripts

Would appreciate any suggestions

DeoVR doesn’t seem to support local funscripts , Yes it does as long as you are loged into SLR in the app , and have the movie and the script on the device and not on usb stick

Are you looking to do this to access content on the go? It might be easier to setup xbvr with your videos and scripts. Then you can stream to HereSphere running on the headset.

Thanks for the suggestion! I want to use USB OTG not primarily for on the go, but for fast and private storage expansion. Absolutely right that xbvr is a solution even if it is not ideal for me. But it seems like there is perhaps no ideal solution?

Elaboration:

I have the 64g quest 2 - tiny.

My desktop is also running out of space and is usually shut off - many more steps needed if I go the xbvr/dlna streaming route. In addition, I believe these expose the files without authentication, and I don’t want others on the network to accidentally discover them.

xbvr does have authentication on the immersive VR interface. But not the generic web interface. You’d need to use a third party solution to add that.
