I have some questions and would like to ask for your advice

I am currently formulating future product plans, so I have some questions to consult all of you.
What kind of Stroker and Usage Scenarios are actually better?

If you had a choice, how would you prefer to use the device

  • Fixed use for hands-free operation (but requires re-fixing every time)
  • If the device is lightweight enough, I am willing to use it handheld
  • I want them all.
  • I don’t care.

If you had a choice, which software platform would you prefer to use with device

  • APP
  • Web
  • PC
  • VR Headset
  • Doesn’t matter

Would you purchase a DIY product as your device?

  • Would not consider it
  • Need to analyze based on specific circumstances
  • Doesn’t matter

If you had a choice, what type of device would you prefer me to develop next year?

  • A single-axis model with easier operation
  • A single-axis model with stronger performance and lower noise
  • A multi-axis model with easier operation
  • A multi-axis model with stronger performance and lower noise

If you have any suggestions regarding FUNSR1 2.0 , FUNSR PRO , the OSR2 and SR6 we developed, or any other aspects, please reply to me or contact me directly.

I’m shocked that so many users want to be locked into an OS to use their devices.

I took the question a bit differently in terms of where the playback is occurring. With 8K video and huge files, I’d rather my PC do the playback and control of the toy locally. That gives me the freedom to stream to whatever headset I get (Airlink, VirtualDesktop, etc.)I have PTSD from locked to the Handy API servers and web player. But maybe I misunderstood the question.

Yeah for me I took PC as having things saved locally.

IMO Its more of a control thing.

If my experience depends on a third party server then that means I have to depend on said third party maintaining servers, web functionality, etc. And even if their end is fine, my internet connection can go down for a variety of reasons, or a service theyre using goes down. Heck we saw this year what happened when AWS or cloudflare went down for a bit, a TON of shit just got fucked and stopped working.

I can maintain/fix my computer. I can’t do shit if a server goes down somewhere.

Maybe I took it differently because im a sysadmin and I run webservices locally on my network.
Maybe it would’ve been more obvious if it were “internet” instead of web.

Changed my vote.

The answer for the 4th question can be kinda tricky.
How many axes are we talking about?
IMO the FUNSR1 2.0 is kind of a good middle ground.
I think twist is probably the 2nd most useful to have, and as you’re adding more axes the whole device will start getting more and more bulky and heavy, which also complicates fixing and starts limiting your options.
DIY is also kind of an “it depends”.
Is it just assembly, like plugs and screws, or does it also involve soldering stuff?

Just please get the cooling right on the first try :^)))

Yeah it was vague enough.

App i assumed referred to shit like the phone apps for lovense, kiiroo etc. Afaik this is the least talked about platform.

VR headset you can technically use through the net for slr, or thru network connection I believe with heresphere or just having the files uploaded to the headset.

Pc, self explanatory.

So I assumed Web prob referred to stuff like faptap, handy, xtoys, etc where you have to connect to a server/website. Can’t connect to a server if a dumb squirrel chews through a line somewhere.

Like if people want something more than stroke but not full multi-axis due to bulk/setup, twist has a small enough footprint.

Twist is theoretically the easiest axis to add because you just need a new receiver to latch onto the stroker and a way to power it, as opposed to needing to add new arms for the others.

Other than that, someone could theoretically develop a battery powered receiver that people can just jury rig a way to attach to a single-axis stroker. It would just need to connect to MFP as its own device and people could assign it to the twist axis.

I’ll clarify that I want PC but in the form of a webapp I can access through a browser.
This way I can run on any OS I want and access over my local network or locally on the same device if I run the server on the local device.

Yeah I get what you mean, I know its been a thing for people to rip their own dvds and watch them online through a plex server or w/e its called. I know some people do that with Heresphere cause they want the vids/scripts downloaded but all that content is way too large for local storage on the standalone headsets(Quest). I need to figure this out and set it up for myself at some point.

Most people are probably taking it to mean more like w/e SLR is doing, where you download nothing and stream everything from a server/service out of your control.

What I originally meant is as follows:

The APP experience includes:

  1. There is an APP that can play videos (the videos should be local files or from specific video links), which then connects to the device via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) (Serial Bluetooth is not used because it is not supported by iOS) or Wi-Fi.
  2. The APP can have some simple usage scenarios, such as virtual characters and basic interactive functions.
  3. The APP cannot connect to VR devices
