I used to view VR scripts on my Android phone through a VR headset using the DEO VR app, which was connected to ScriptPlayer on my PC. However, after the recent Android updates, it stopped working. The app no longer seems to connect, and when playing videos, there is only sound and a black screen. Is there any way to get the app working again, or are there alternative methods to use my phone for VR content while syncing with ScriptPlayer to run scripts?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I believe ScriptPlayer removed support for DeoVR a couple of versions ago. Since then I connect up using MultiFunPlayer. I’m on an Samsung S22 with One UI version 7.0 and Android 15 and DeoVR 10.1 still works on it using a cheap VR headset from Amazon. I also think DeoVR is no longer being updated since I can’t find it in the Play Store and the last update was 2021. Which sucks because it’s the only one I’ve been able to find that did what I wanted and was easy to get connected to without needing to create accounts.
I use a Samsung android phone with a Samsung VR headset specific to that phone. I use a multitude of differing apps but the one I have settled into of late is GizmoVR, mainly because of ease of use from within the headset and 3dVR vids such as Tia Blazes Rhythms of Desire look incredible on the big screen in it.You could in theory do everything on the phone, run your scripts, connect your toy, but for ease of use I just sync by ‘pressing play’ from the PC, whilst ‘pressing play’ on whatever I am watching in the VR app.
