Koikatsu Handy Wont Connect

Hello I got Problem connecting my handy to the KK-handy server giving my just this msg

.env file not found, enter your Handy key here instead: (Handy Key)
[get] status
Listening on port 42069
[get] hssp/sync {“syncCount”:6}
Cannot initialize, failed to sync time

The error is telling you what’s wrong.
you should enter your handy key in the .env file.
I believe the koikatsu mod creates the file for you on launch so it should appear in that folder.
It starts with a . so it might be a hidden file.

there is no env file at all and i just put tke handy key in the cmd and dont know where to get the file

Config file (.env)

If you don’t want to enter your connection key every time, you can create a config file in the same directory as kk-handy-server.exe. The filename must be .env. You can use default.env.example as reference.

  • HANDY_KEY
  • SERVER_PORT
    • port number to listen to the plugin
    • should match the value in plugin settings (both 42069 by default)

i dont need hel with the file i can just put the handy key manualy i dont minde but i does not work the handy wont connect
that is my problem

It might be that the manual entry doesn’t work.
Trying something else is the first step in troubleshooting.

If it still doesn’t work, check the logs they might tell you why it’s not connecting.

manual i think is fine because when i try to put a random kay it does somethin else

no log file from the server and i did this 2 years back and it worked just fine

It could be an incompatability with FW4

This mod was made for I think FW2 maybe 3
edit: this is definitely it:

Handy firmware compatability

  • FW2 (recommended)
    • Script seeking is slow, Handy will have brief pauses during high speed poses.
  • FW3
    • FW3.0.3+ Handy sometimes stops moving and requires a restart.
