Male Toy Disappointment in Adult Products

Is it just me, or does the male toy market feel incredibly stagnant? It seems like most sleeves follow the same basic formula with twists, ridges, and bumps, but there’s very little real variation. Meanwhile, the variety in women’s toys is massive, offering all kinds of unique sensations and creative designs. Even so-called ‘alien’ or ‘fantasy’ sleeves for men just feel like reskinned versions of the same textures. Am I missing something, or do companies just not see a reason to innovate in this space? Has anyone actually found something that feels truly different?

Don’t know what you are looking for, but a sleeve is a sleeve. You can’t do that much with it. Anyways here are 285 fleshlight textures if that’s of any help for you:

I’m personally more annoyed with the one size fits all approach most manufacturers take.
Some size variants would be good, you can buy dildos etc in quite a range of sizes including beyond ridiculous (no judgement on anyone just outside of most penis ranges :joy:).

Anyway. Yeah. A range for men to buy something that fits them better would be good.

the onahole market are a different breed

I don’t know how to explain it, but those still look pretty…generic? I was thinking more stuff like this, but even this is only 2 that I found all night.

They have actual variation behind them if this makes sense?

Onahole? I will have to check that out!

I think you mean that you are looking for textures and shapes that are less symmetric, or a bit more “random”.

That’s part of it. Less symmetry and randomness would help, but I’m also thinking about structural variation, things that change movement, use bigger geometric shapes, and create deeper angles. Most toys I have used personally, all just feel…the same? I am trying to find more exotic tunnels.

Tenga has a lot of creative holes but it’s not made for western sizes.

Least generic feeling sleeve from my previous batch of 400 euro:

Take it out of the container and turn this thing around so the prickly lube chamber can do it’s work. It’s more firm than a Fleshlight so it can hold it’s shape way better.

The main reason:
90% of women can use 90% of toy sizes. With men its not even close. Even with fleshlights there are tightness diffirences, and this is just to cover up that part.
A single fleshlight might only work for 50% of men as the rest is either too small (lacks sensation) or too big (nullifies any textures). And thats just for stroking.

Vibrators for men often rely on the men holding it in place, yet women can often just lay back. Its much easier to design toys for women here.

And a lot of men still consider it a taboo. Its often fine for a women to be stimulated with a toy. And lets be honest, but as men there can be situations in which you just arent as hard as usual, or go flacid earier (tiredness, or early orgasms are common reasons here), a dildo is an easy replacement to keep the sex going while you are recharging yourself for round 2. For men having such alternative just isnt needed, especialy when she likes to give blowjobs or titjobs, which are still very intense.

There is just less market. But do note that the high end market for men is significantly better than what women have, as most of the high end market for women also works on men, especialy when they also like anal. A strong vibrator might work on a clit, but it often also works on a dick, and if it can touch the prostate, you can even combine them. For most women while they can combine it, there is usualy no mixing of sensations. There is no fucking machine integrated in a sybian, there is no estim with it that can be placed at many locations etc.

The main downside is just that its expensive. But seriously, at the higher end of sex toys the ideas for men are just a lot more extreme. And since men fantasize more, that amplifies things even further.

these are what you want. big name products like fleshlight, tenga, and even bad dragon’s penetratables are not very good.
Fleshlights rely on being put inside a case that may or may not be damaged from the manufacturer, which makes the case noisy and kills suction (the sleeves themselves are openhole).
Tenga leans more toward the onahole market but they lack durability that other onaholes have and imo the sensations arent that great either, making them too expensive to bother with.
As for BD’s penetratables… Imagine walking out to your car and trying to fuck a hole in the tires. Those things are so stiff that even with lube you might hurt yourself (They are openhole as well btw so no suction.)
Get on ToyDemon or KanojoToys, etc. and shop around. Imo I like ridejapan’s brand of toys, magiceyes has some good ones, too. Just get in the habit of looking at the sleeve texture images and lengths. gl

Thanks for the reply.
I understand the market, and understand these manufacturers are going for the biggest chunk of the pie in terms of one product to cover most men.

I just find that I’m scrolling through and see something interesting and then review the actual dimensions etc and go nah. That won’t work for me.

Hopefully more men enter the market and increase the market size to the point where it becomes viable to cover a broader fit range for their products.

+1 on these recommendations. you may have to dig a bit, but there is some truly wild stuff out there. “gimmick” onaholes have fairly unique features, but may not be suitable for use with a stroker. my favorites have been ones with stiff internal structures hidden inside a softer material.

Kinda wish there was better alien/monster options out there. From what I’ve heard all of them are just worse than regular options. I get the appeal of a gimmick as to me I would be cool if there was something a bit different.

I understand where you are coming from on this, you have some really great points. However as a single male who has no partner to do this kind of stuff with, a gimmick is just what some of us need to change things up and have fun alone. I can understand why there is a small market for such a thing, but it is very disappointing most companies see men as the kind of humans who don’t want creativity in the bedroom.

Idd. I looked around a bit and found this 8-in-1. I’ve never seen anything like it before. It doesn’t work for a stroker of course, but imagine if there was a stroker that could rotate it automatically. You could use a different canal depending on if it’s a BJ/vaginal/anal scene or switch depending on girl in a BGGG scene

The problem is molding. Molding a dildo is easy. Making complex shapes on the inside of a sleeve is more difficult and can create a lot of problems in the manufacturing process.

I’ll see your round table, and raise you one mind-fuck

wish Fleshlight made different sizes. Like medium and large. That dosent seem to be too difficult.

These problems have been resolved a long time ago for any sleeve that is flexible. You can remove the ‘core’ after molding without issues.

Only when its not supposed to stretch (like a lot of vibrators have) its a problem as then the core gets stuck. Again, there are tricks here that work to some degree (inflatable cores). But this obviously doesnt work with heavy textures.

There is a reason why onaholes are popular globaly, while being usualy small, they still work. And these are made extremely cheap yet can be textured in any way they want. Molding is not a problem here at all.

From my experience, its only the more solid toys that have a problem, nearly always vibrators, and often ment handsfree usable. These cannot be made soft as any stretch means hands free usage wont work (the toy just slides off). So these are designed tight, and try to target the biggest market (asia), causing any slightly over average size to not be able to use the toy.

Western brands on that are often also afraid to make a bad product, so they only will make one when they know it will be decent enough. Their safe decisions means there will almost never be a very wild toy coming from them… and if they do, its most of the time female targeted, knowing they can sell globaly then.

They have the flight, go lines which are smaller. And even quickshot effectively works like that if you are that small. Sadly only in very limited designs.
