Like in topic. i have Meta quest 3 - the handy, video and .funscript files as local. I don’t need any subscribtions. but there is any way to run it with that configuration? Is any chance to sync Quest with handy and funscript and run it in VR?
Hi Dagonarian,
Yes, there is. I only have the Quest 2, but it should work the same with the Quest 3.
I use the Script Player (GitHub - FredTungsten/ScriptPlayer: ScriptPlayer is a video player that controls the Handy and lots of other toys in sync with videos.). I set “HereSphere” as the video player and connect the Handy directly via “Devices.”
You also need DEOVR; I use the one from Steam.
In DEOVR, go to Settings and enable Remote Control.
That’s it. In DEOVR, you can access your local data, and if your script has the same name as the video, it will load automatically.
Get the native Heresphere application for your Quest. It’s the best VR player by far and also has a free demo option which will only show a rare short ad (and not if you are playing a video so no worries).
In Heresphere you are able to input your the Handy key
If you do that and your Handy is already connected to WiFi then this will automatically connect every single time in Heresphere
As soon as you start a video with a funscript (same name) it will start
You do not need ScriptPlayer or anything else if you go the Quest 3 + VR way and only have a single axis stroker (e.g. the Handy). Pretty much hassle less, works every time and you can set up a lot of other things in Heresphere that other players can’t.
yeah i second this, i downloaded the demo version on steam and its great. I use my headset linked to pc. Really easy and simple to setup. I got a meta quest 3 + handy too.
i have all soft for guide but i cannot find any remote controll…

this soft need access, and i cannot find it in hereSphere
but how do you upload local files to device? i have only vay - some drive as GoogleDrive and id save in /Downloads, but HereSphere have access to /emulate/0 and i cannot drop file there
I use the Quest 3 and Handy almost daily to watch videos with funscripts streamed from my NAS.
The first missing part of the equation: HereSphere is the best video player for Quest. There’s both a Quest version - available through the Meta AppLab - and a PC version on Steam. I use the Quest version myself, which means I don’t need a PC to watch videos since they’re streamed from my NAS.
If you don’t have a NAS you can use SMB - file sharing - to access videos from HereSphere on the headset over the network and get the videos from your PC. There are some serious drawbacks to this file-based approach though, since you don’t have anything but the filename to go from. Your funscripts also need to be in the same folder and share the same name as the video files.
So I use xbvr. It is a VR porn library manager, which scrapes sites for a list of all the scenes, matches videos and funscripts to those scenes, and allows you to browse in a nice gallery view from HereSphere. You can search, rate, and manage scenes all from HereSphere as well.
I host xbvr on my NAS where my files are stored, but you can also run xbvr on a PC, Mac, or in a container. All it needs is access to your files.
xbvr cannot mach correct file, but i set smb server and it’s working as expected thx ![]()
You need to scrape scenes with xbvr. You may need to manually match files to the scene - it often isn’t automatic.
i;ve tried but it see video files, match one of them and other was missed and manual was broken, no record on lists with available videos even if i saw it in scrapped data
You can type in the name of the scene or other information when trying to match if it isn’t found by default. It’s a search field.
I’m not so stupid bro;)
