Motor for spinning? And how-to?

I’m starting on my first small DIY project, and for this one I want to add some kind of ticklish material on a rotating motor / stick so it can tickle you and maybe even follow a script. But I have no idea how to get started at all. I was looking first at some screwdrivers that could maybe do the rotation but they all seem way too fast, so maybe I need to get a custom motor for that?

If anyone knows something that would work for this application or how I should get started researching into this, please let me know. It would be great if it can follow a script but if its complex to do its not a requirement, manual rotation speed changing is also fine. I have never done anything with custom motors etc so I’m clueless haha. Thanks in advance

Funosr has a spinning mechanism that has is moving with the adapter, Tempest is working on a spinning mechanism with metal threads so less to transport but wires dangling around. You should join his Patreon. T-Code has the port ready on the ESP32. If you ask me the whole up down mechanism should turn with the adapter. I think its possible.

Not 100% on the design you’re after but from how it sounds, you should be able to get by with off the shelf parts.Researching the pros and cons of dc motors, servos, and stepper motors so you can find the which type would be suit your project is where Id suggest starting.
