I am looking to buy an SR1 2.0. However, the normal mounting solution is sold out.

Would this work as a mounting solution? Or should I wait for the normal one to become available
Ok so I do not have the sr1 or this mounting solution in particular, however I have had several different devices and used various mounting solutions. The main issue with this kind of mounting solution is that it mounts the device straight up. If you aren’t particularly long enough then getting into/staying in the device usually ends up being awkward since from a sitting position you need to have your member standing straight up and or be directly positioned under it.
For a lot of people, they lean back or slide in the chair a bit so most people’s position is at an angle. Some people can get a static vertical mount to work, some can’t.
As a mounting solution this bracket probably works to hold the machine in place cause why else would they sell it, but you have to think about how youre gonna be able use it personally.

It does come with a vesa compatible bracket built into what they call the “handheld support”. I invested in some gas spring arm vesa mounts for previous devices tho, so I already had something very strong to mount it too. $40 for a mount isnt bad, the only thing I would say is a down side to their mount is theres no height adjust, would have to use the chairs height if needed, or mount it at your preferred height somehow. And the angle issue mentioned above should definitely be considered.
Right so if I have a monitor arm laying around i could just use that?

Yes, any vesa monitor arm works fine with the SR1.
Just screw the device to the monitor arm, attach the arm to a desk / table and then you have a hands free setup.
