Didn’t work. It was working perfectly fine with no issue and just all of sudden it doesnt want to work. It starts playing the script and just randomly stops and shows that error. I did notice when I switch to polled update instead of fixed update it starts working.
Polled update sends very little data, you should be able to lower the update rate to the point of it working. I dunno why is suddenly started doing that, you should probably contact FunOSR.
I wanted to test something so I did. I loaded up XTPlayer and see if that would work. Well it does work with zero issues. I tried to use usb and bluetooth on mfp but it still decides to not work. I legit don’t know what I did to make it stop working all of a sudden.
XTP works similar to polled update thats why both work for you. What update rate did you try with fixed update?
Tried almost all of them
Wonder it has to deal with anything in my bluetooth settings etc.
If you are using bluetooth then thats probably the reason, bluetooth is not really designed for high frequency commands, and in that case you have to use polled update.
I though you were using serial cable.
well even with the cable it doesnt work.
Update: I tried the cable in a different port and mess around with the update rate and it seems to be working. Still dont understand why bluetooth was working before and now its nots
I have found the problem. It was a faulty power cable I received with my sr1 2.0. My old power cable from my first sr1 when used makes it work with 0 issues.
Yesterday I tried watching the latest VREdging scene from SLR on DeoVR and it didn’t play the script. None of the videos on SLR did.
Strange, because I could play my local files’s scripts through DeoVR just fine.
I remember it working, though I haven’t watched a SLR video in a little while, too much scripts shared here (opposite of a problem, really)
I’ll try later today, maybe something went wrong but if someone saw that already or know what it is, it would be nice to know what happened.
Ignore me, I’m an idiot. It never worked because I never was a patron. I was just using the USB Tcode thing in DeoVR before, that’s why it “worked”
I’ll be supporting the patreon then to fix my issue.
Edit2:
Is there any DLNA server that can serve the actual file names to MFP? I have been playing around with the DLNA server from Stash, but it’s not showing up in DeoVR. Emby doesn’t seem to pass the filename unfortunately.
I’m trying to get local scripts to work with the native DeoVR app so I can use pass through.
Don’t think there is one. I know there is a 3rd party plugin for stash that hosts DeoVR/HereSphere library api and it has an option to use filenames in urls.
I think HereSphere also supports passthrough so you could that with SMB shares.
