very true. but maybe sony respect peoples privacy more than facebook, i have this image in my head of facebook staff literally tapping into your headset and literally watching what you are viewing and just like that they can flip a switch and brick your headset lol
Hey guys, I have a cheap opportunity to get the HP Reverb G2, but I donāt have a good PC. Is there any way to watch high quality VR Porn on the G2 locally without connecting to a computer or internet, similar to the oculus headsets? If someone could let me know quickly it would help me a lot!
No, the Reverb G2 is essentially like a computer monitor. It only displays what the PC itās plugged into can render.

I donāt think so, itās not a standalone. For watching 8k porn you need nvidia series 10xx/20xx/30xx. For lower resolutions - Iām not sure, but for 4k the requirements shouldnāt be out of space.

i think HTC is coming out with a stand alone hmd soon but I doubt they will compete well with facebook on price/value/feature set at this point.

Thereāre some few minor updates, but nothing big so far. Quest 2 remains the best option for a while.
Honestly, the Quest 2 is really hard to beat, and if you donāt own a high spec PC itās kind of your only option. If youāre worried about privacy, and itās just for porn, use a dummy FB account - then donāt buy any aps as thereās always the risk of them closing your account. One of these days Iāll probably end up accidentally live streaming a porn session, oh god.
i have spoken to pimax directly and u dont need a base station or valve controllerā¦it works with xbox controllersā¦however u will need a base station for games tho but u can watch porn perfectly fine without the base stationā¦lol

honestly the only 2 vr headsets on the market that ill even consider are the hp reverb g2 or the pimax 8kxā¦every other vr headset has shit for resolutionā¦the quest 2 is trash to meā¦only reason so many people mention it is due to it bieng wireless and so cheapā¦u get what u pay for gentlemenā¦and when it comes to best resolution and best VR it gets no better than the pimax 8kxā¦i still have yet to get mine due to its enourmous price tag but my high end pc is finally finished except for my gpu so now im saving for the pimax 8kx and the gpu that ill more than likely have to wait till next year to getā¦i have done tons of research on the pimax 8kx and it is superior to every other headset when it comes to porn lmaoā¦the hp reverb was my first choice but after reading about some of its issues id rather spend my money elsewhere where i get what i pay forā¦i will never buy another oculus headsetā¦the one i have is fine but it has so many hdmi errors its like having to run a diagnostics everytime u wanna fap lmfaoā¦anyway thats my take gentlemen
Really great points and tips - for budget and higher end Quest 2 really cant be beat
I have Pimax 5K+ and really highly recommend high FOV and 120hz as VR pornās most important features above all IMHO
Index has true 120hz, but pimax has great 120hz as well, which plays those 60 fps videos really really lifelike and smooth - and wider fov really helps with the extra immersion on top
You dont need as beefy a PC to run those too which is nice
8KX should be best so far though, since has best of all worlds, just pretty expensive, and need a mighty beefy PC to run it smoothly

I have the Reverb G2, Index, and Quest 2. For its price, the Quest 2 is by far the best. I have it associated to a dummy FB account so the only thing Iām really missing out on is 120hz (coming soon) and a wider FOV. Not bad for 1/3 to 1/2 the price. Wireless is just. better.
