Could anyone tell me what is the newest possible build combination for osr 2 with all of the addons possible, and how to program the esp 32 board (I don’t know where to start)?
it has been a while since i made my osr2+, i did subscribe to his patreon, you’ll get a pdf with a very good build instruction there.
when it comes to a esp32 variant (not romeo board) then i would go with jcfain’s fork:
he delivers you the flashing software and the bin pre-build for your application ( TCode_ESP32_Release_v0.4b-esp32doit-devkit-v1.zip
that would work on a d1, nodemcu or wemos style esp32. you’ll get a webinterface where you can then add and configure your addons
if you want a deep dive, i suggest you check out the discord, but i think you need to be patreon in order to get access to the tempest server.
worth while build configuration as i see it:
-lube pump
-twist
-tvalve
-third servo for sway (or pitch i am not sure about it anymore)
the only thing i can see that changed since i build it is the twist module got a different and maybe the base is now different as you have a esp32 not a romeo board any longer.
hope that helps you to get started. i really think you should shell out the cash for a patreon subscription to get access to the build instructions and the discord. i think it’s worth it, also to ask such things as to what servos you should use: there are some good choices that will make you happier than the standard cheap ones, which do work, but are very noisy and for example don’t hold very long when you use the osr2 inverted for standing positions.
Third servo’s a pitch axis.
I second what yeti86 said, the Discord is a valuable resource for a lot of questions that you might (will) have and has many alternative methods for various parts of the building process.
You may also want to consider the alternative Wago powerbus, I find it way easier to work with (could also find that on the Discord).
