So I am changing all scripts to 400U/s generally and I see that in 90% of the cases its fine to change the lower points for BJ/HJ and upper points for regular action. Quite easily done with quickfix tools in OFS or Fungen. If a high speed wave is more toward 100% reduce the lower points if its more towards 0% reduce the upper points.
Scripters choose a max speed and sometimes publish several speeds.
How it should have been done is everybody scripting at max speed lets say 800U/sec and players reducing the speeds to the desired speed depending on sleeve and device by reducing as mentioned above.
I feature requested @Yoooi to add this in MFP and started to script at 800U/sec and for now make a second version in 400. Right now MFP can speed control but it reduces upper and lower points at the same time damaging the script. This on the fly speed control sadly comes too late for already published scripts. Wont be difficult to modify your favorite scripts though yourself. Looking forward to this feature.
Devices already limit speeds on-the-fly and the issue was always that they don’t do it well. If/when it’s being done properly then worrying about hardware speed limitations won’t be necessary.
Its always the software, hardware just executes right? And yeah just limiting toward 50% isnt the right way. So for Handy there will still be the need for 400U/sec files but T-code can be variable. Handy I had the impression the speed is reduced for everything not only overspeed but I may be wrong.
With The Handy, the firmware runs speed reduction code on-the-fly. It’s different with FW4, but with FW3 the reduction method was discussed in Falafel’s topic.
Yeah so they are doing it wron so better let Yoooi do it or other players.
How would you shorten strokes with a range of 0-100? Not sure you can work out just from the script what the scripter intended to be prioritized, top or bottom. Without the video for context, software wouldn’t be able to work out whether the section is penetration or HJ/BJ.
So it’s possible we’ll still need to limit the script itself to at least 0-99 or 1-100.
Right, scripters could script 0-99 and 100-1 to trigger which side to reduce. Its really just mark lower points of the block and press shift arrow up once and the opposite for the upper.
If unknow limit lower as BJ/HJ is worse when badly reduced, that is what Handy does.
The Handy (FW3) limits toward the stroke’s starting position, not just always towards the top.
right
Chapters could be labeled “top” or “bottom”, even “center” or something.
Yeah would work also but I guess a shift arrow up or down is easier. First of all the players have to be able to reduce speed but from there full speed control.
