I’ve been verified on both accounts and I would like to choose one, I’m afraid Patreon has banned people before, dk if subscribestar does the same, my only complain about subscribestar is: it doesn’t let me upload .funscripts and need to .zip it beforehand, already sent an email to support asking them to implement it
As a scripter alone, the fact alone that you got an account verified and approved, as a creator, makes you already more in the know than most of the peeps that tried here.
To my knowledge, of people that only script, the only person besides you that was able to get in was @TheZerta, there might be other people that I’m not aware of but for the most part we all got the same treatment.
We create and setup the account, there is usually a verification email you receive from them asking for more information like online presence and such, you respond, they never get back to you. Some time later you get this on your page:
And now you’re stuck in limbo, they don’t proceed with your review, neither approval or rejection and don’t respond to your emails anymore either.
Some people still are in this step after months or even years so yeah, you’re already far ahead than most of us in that regard
As a user, having the script in a zip file is a complete minor / neglectable issue, and for adult content subscribestar is the best and safest option of the 2, but you can always keep both open, if something happens to one, you always got the other as backup.
I should go with both yeah…
when patreon bans a creator, what happens with the discord? can I still organize with the users there?
I really like patreon managing the roles for the users, what happens when a user stops being a paid user? is the role just removed but they remain on the server? or are they kicked? tried removing the kick permisions for the bot but then it stops working
also any tips to avoid being banned? I tought about focusing on animated content, nothing real, if I want to do any real content I wouldn’t publish it on patreon more than “there’s a new free script” and link to the eroscript thread without any other information
also is futa ok? what about furry? what if it’s anthro furry? do we know any specific cases of people being banned and why?
dk if I should post the free content at all on patreon, it could risk ban, but on the other hand it shows to the paid users I’m creating free content and keep them updated about those trough patreon too, I’m undecided
about the review, I just showed them my profile on eroscript and itchio, they asked me to add my subscribestar to the profiles there and report back, so I did and on the next day I was validated, also did the age validation with my camera
I think so yeah, never got banned so i don’t know the specifics but i think it only manages your roles, maybe somebody that already got a ban could clarify it more precisely.
Yeah they only get the role removed and stay in the server.
Yup that’s mostly it, for IRL and extreme tags content don’t post about it directly on patreon, I basically only do announcements on patreon and all the scripts are on discord, even on discord i play it safe and don’t post previews, just use the titles on the announcements.
Futa should be totally okay, the most typical furry I’m assuming so as well but on that one I’m not 100% sure so play it safe just in case with things like MLP, some monster girls and the like.
As long as you keep in mind what i said above it should be fine if your account and posts are +18 to keep your fans informed, but it’s up to you at the end of the day.
Did all that and after i sent my profile got ghosted, maybe the itchio did the trick, idk, either way congrats on that mate!
why posting anouncements for downloads on discord instead of uploading the .funscript on patreon?
what I do for paid scripts is:
title: name of the video
cropped image of the video where only face is shown
script download attached to the patreon post
url to eroscripts where users get the video link
sounds riskier than your way? I guess we are all just guessing
I don’t post any content at all on the patreon page, mainly reason because i deal a lot with all the extreme tags so i only post general announcements, like when polls are open or closed, updates if something occurs… along those lines.
Everything else i do on discord, but the way you do it is fine in general, just keep in mind what is off limits.
But yeah at the end of the day with patreon is always a gamble, on subscribestar you have 1000x times more freedom with that supposedly.
Yeah just don’t sweat it on those, if it is even in a grey area just post on discord and point to that or eroscripts, most of your fanbase will most likely be here so it’s fine either way
for free scripts: patreon post “there’s a new free script check the discord” with url to the discord message
on discord: url to eroscripts
for paid scripts: patreon post “there’s a new paid script check the discord” with url to the discord message
on discord: url to eroscripts + funscript uploaded on the discord chat
not an image, not a file, not a video name, nothing, same text for every release, maybe with the date
this discord chanel is for people with paid role
or maybe instead of discord I should create a google docs, I wonder if I can attach files there
on subscribestar: everything nice and beautiful, with the whole information, still pointing to eroscripts but with proper previews and images and text with the video names and everyhting
also I’ll make subscribestar a bit cheaper than patreon to try and move people to subscribestar
How about @VladTheImplier makes a Website for Selling Scripts similar to Patreon or Subscribestar.
For example 20% of our earnings would go to @VladTheImplier. @VladTheImplier would then fuel the Eroscripts servers with our Money. This would benefit @VladTheImplier, the Scripters & the Eroscripts Forum .
That would be ideal indeed but I’m assuming the problem there would be getting a payment processor that would work with NSFW content, doubly so having in mind all the recent bs with visa and mastercard.
If a solution like that ends up being possible I’m all for it
