I’ve recently created my first paid script and since everyone seems to be using Payhip, I’ve created the account, linked Stripe and PayPal, added the script and posted the link here. I’ve also edited profile info but didn’t really say anything that would indicate that I create NSFW stuff. Didn’t use my real name when creating the account.
The script stayed up for 2 or 3 days. Then my account has vanished completely, together with the link to the script. I received no notification email. All payments seem to have been refunded and anything that was already transferred to my account caused the Stripe balance to go to negative.
I’ve tried contacting their support twice through email asking what has happened and what can I do to prevent it in the future. I got no response.
I’ve then tried creating a second account with same details. However this time I didn’t edit profile info and didn’t yet add the script - it was just an empty account. When logged in, I’ve sent a support ticket through the website asking the same thing as before. That account has also vanished after 2 or 3 days, even though no payments were linked and nothing was added to the store.
I’ve now decided to create a third account under a different email and real first and last name without adding the script yet and see what happens.
Has anyone selling through Payhip also experienced this? Do you give out your real name there? Can buyers see it?
In trying to find the reason why this has happened to me, despite everyone else seemingly selling the scripts there just fine. Any suggestions or tips are greatly appreciated.
