I searched a bit and couldn’t find answers to my problems, would appreciate some.
I’m on Windows 11.
I have OSR 2+ from FunOSR.
I extracted MultiFunPlayer from the self-contained Patreon package into Program Files folder. I can only run it as Administrator.
Connected to OSR 2+ via Serial → COM6. When connecting, the machine jerks a bit, so I suppose this connection works.
When I try Internal, MFP doesn’t allow me to drop the .funscript file into “drop scripts here” window.
I got MPV, but MPV window doesn’t allow me to drop the video file (.mp4) to it.
I tried VLC, set up the LUA password, but there was “Error when connecting to VLC”.
Tried PotPlayer, it connects to MFP and plays videos, but there is no action on the OSR 2+ end.
All these issues are probably because you put MFP into Program Files.
You can extract MFP to any location you want as it is portable. Program Files is a special folder and like you noticed might require Administrator rights.
i have the same issue though, MFP is installed directly into my D drive, run as admin, connects fine but it’s not detecting any scripts once i set my script directory. drop down bar just shows nothing.
You dont have to run it as admin. You also dont have to add a script library because the scripts are loaded automatically based on the video file name. What video player are you using?
