I saw a while back Wankz (and possibly others like Swallowbay and POVR?) started offering handy-compatible scripts…
I was considering going for a sub… even if their is AI used there are some great scenes I don’t have scripts for otherwise, many of which I doubt would get picked up by scripters here, or at least anytime soon.
Anyone have experience with Wankz (or POVR/Swallowbay) - do they allow downloading scripts? Any limits/special sub tier I need?
They use an alternate script provider who I think is called “Connect & Control” so you still don’t actually have the actual script and it only works while your sub is active but at least you don’t have to pay extra like NaughtyAmerica.
I get that Studios want the recurring revenue but it’s tough because there are days I use the handy 2-3x and then months where I barely use it at all + want the ability to use local media/scripts for best quality/sync. It’s a shame only SLR (and maybe NAVR you’re implying?) support this
NAVR uses Handy token scripts so you don’t keep those either. SLR still has the best user friendly implementation outside of BadoinkVR and their sub-studios since they don’t charge extra and can actually keep the funscript.
I don’t care for most site produced scripts outside of SLR since they tend to miss out on nuances that handcrafted scripts account for and if I can’t get the script loaded locally into Heresphere I won’t bother since I can get the script highly accurate. Had a session two nights ago where I got the script accurate down to .0001 ms, it’s awesome when you get the scene to be 1:1 where she’s slamming down and it matches exactly with every movement.
I MUCH prefer handcrafted as well, but some girls just don’t get the attention (Aria is definitely one of them) so I guess I’d take what I could get with those, AI/partial-AI would be better than nothing, but if they want to put an imperfect product behind a series of inconveniences… I’m out
Yeah I added the support for cmscript (the files that Connect & Control uses) in XBVR so I tested a couple from WankzVR, they were really not great, probably worse than the SLR AI scripts (maybe I didn’t test their best ones though).
First - Love XBVR - it’s made this hobby so much better.
That is interesting, so you can download the cmscript files? I imagine it wouldn’t be too hard to convert those to traditional funscripts either… Subscriptions are so often cheap on promotion I’d be willing to toss a few bucks for a try.
The process through Wankz/POVR is not worth it, they still use a third party host for the scripts with no option to download. Then once you get it working it seems extremely buggy. Many have brought up these issues and even suggested they would be fine with limited downloads of say like 3 scripts a month but the only reply you get from POVR/Wankz is that they cannot do that cause they don’t control the scripts rather than trying to work with the 3rd party to fix it.
You can download the file, but it’s just a token file like the funscript tokens, you don’t have access to the actions themselves, that’s stored on a server somewhere.
I agree with this. I’m always disappointed with the BaDoink scripts as they are all AI generated. They always sit still when there is something subtle like grinding going on, so it really takes you out of the immersion.
If your only using the handy then handyfeeling.com is worth a look at. couple of thousand scripts on there and most are free. It works via the tokens again but you can download them and if your using the handy anyway it shouldn’t be a problem.
BadoinkVR does supply the scripts, people just generally complain about their versions because they tend to between 20-80 instead of the full range. BadoinkVR has admitted they use AI for theirs with manual touchups.
I would even contest the “manual touchups” claim. A lot of their scripts (badoink I’m referring to, idk about others) have action generated by the AI during close up and non penetration/contact sections, seems like that would be an easy fix if they looked at it for even a second.
