RANT: I hate too much acting and talking in porn

So a few months ago i got myself a meta quest headset, ive setup stash and stashvr in docker… Loaded it with videos and funscripts… bought some here too… but i really hate how much those actors talk and feels like they are faking it most of the time.. its such a turn off for me, now i only want to watch japanese vr content because at least i wouldnt understand what they say . and yeah even the censored pussies and dicks are less annoying than woman talking too much, thats just so unrealistic.

am i the only person annoyed by content like that? in the next few days im gonna go through all the VR/AR videos i have downloaded and purge most of them. even if some of them were paid funscripts. funscripts are fine dont give me wrong, so if you are funscript creator thanks for your work , but the videos suck.

now rant is over, my question i guess is there anyone who have the same issues with VR porn? if so did you find any content where they would just shut up and fuck?

for now im just downloading japanese vr off exoticaz and thanks FunJack for giving me the ability to generate a funscript for them. they are not quite EroScript quality but they are good enough for my personal use.

So if there’s foreplay, roleplay whatever at the beginning, you can just skip through it if you just want the action. Its usually better to have something you can take out than not to have it at all.

Obviously have to begin with, most people in these videos are acting, thats kinda the point, theyre being paid to do it. Especially for VR content, basically none of that is amateur and is all professionally done. There’s a lot of talking because theyre setting things up because if it was just straight fucking then the only difference between all of the VR content would be the people in them and the actions.

The actual problem you’re having isn’t the talking bit but the shitty acting bit. The bar for quality is low because people like you just want the fucking, so they just phone in on the acting.

For content where the woman takes the lead, its better to have the dialogue while she’s playing with the male because it adds to the scene. If its more femdom they better be doing the foreplay and dirty talk because the mood is the whole point of that setup. The woman has to take the lead and set the scene here heavily so the acting in these kinds of videos I usually find to be way better cause the actress has to kind of get into it.

Like for costume/cosplay content. There’s the really bad acting or no acting at all which takes away from the vibe/costume itself. If they aren’t playing into the scene/character then the costume is just decoration and any other hot costume can work.

However if the actress plays into the scene and the character, its like a multiplicative modifier that makes the whole content so much better.

Like any performer can just stick on a red wig, contacts and an office get up and say they’re Makima. But only a handful of people like AeryTiefling or Mollyredwolf are playing up the character or Jewelzblu playing up the femdom on it(even if she isn’t in character). I know Kovicki had a Makima vid and she looked fine but she didn’t particularly play into the character.

There were a lot of nsfw cosplay porn content creators that I saw that got me into the content like lanarain and purplebitch. But be in costume, be hot, get fucked only goes so far.

Just being hot and fucking feels like low effort content. It could literally be anyone, anything, anywhere.

So I agree with the hating the bad acting or talking that doesn’t add to the scene, but the good acting or talking that adds to the scene is necessary and preferred.

If you just wanted the fucking(for nonvr), you can prob go for the amateur content. For VR content you can skip around, or clip the vr videos for just the fucking even though the point of VR is the immersion in the scene.

It’s bad, and they know it’s bad. They are paid to get railed on camera, not give oscar-tier acting. Only good for memes, like ‘what are you doing stepbro?’.

The handful of good ones are natural and not scripted.

Idk if this is controversial. But in VR porn when they pretend to kiss me. 100% cringe. I hate that shit. My lips are for my wife only.

I hate it cause it makes me go crosseyed.

It just doesnt work in VR cause its right in the middle and the medium sucks for that cause of the limitation of technology.

If theyre gonna get that close the best thing to do is to go left or right and play with sounds on either ear since they tend to go for stereo so audio is localized to w/e side which adds to immersion.

I’ve preferred JAV simply because I find both the acting and plot to be better executed. You still have the unskilled/uninterested moments here and there.

There are very few actors that can actually act. A bit more who can actually perform. And then a lot who can’t act or perform but somehow still have the job. :man_shrugging:

And then sometimes a skilled actor is shoved into a rushed role with a trash script and made to roll with it and then it’s still slop. And I think that’s the key word.

Pump out slop to take whatever you can get for as cheap as you can make it. If you made profit on the last video, why evolve for the next? Rinse & repeat. People are paying for the slop and expect the good stuff to cost the same, so it holds everything back. Lots of things at play really.

If I understand what the original poster is saying, I agree. I hate the running dialogue of “oh yes”, “that’s it, fuck me baby” (especially when she’s on top and she is fucking ME), etc. Moans are plenty. Telling me how good it feels every 20 seconds just reminds me that it’s not real. Show the ecstasy, don’t vocalize it (with words…again, moans and grunts are great), because if I ever had a woman that kept up a monologue throughout the whole session, that would be the last one we had.

So after some friends were praising the VR porn experience, I got one of those Google Cardbox things recently to see what all the fuss is about before maybe buying an actual headset. And I’m happy I did, because despite the amazement of the 3D of it, these productions are so overly sterile and fake. Even more so than 2D pov porn (and I realized that the worst ones are just 2D versions of VR porn).

While the women might talk “too much” like the OP calls it, or just unfittingly and ineptly like I would put it, the men are basically dead. Now I’m not calling for the guys to exaggerate their talking and sounds in general (that’s a whole different issue), but dude: If she is asking you whether you like how feels and it’s just crickets, not even your pinky moving… what the hell is she going to act against? This huge contrast just feels fake as fuck and a turn-off. And what happens to fill the void? She has to make even more fake sounds and over-act or you could hear a needle drop, which makes it even worse.

It’s usually not a selection criterion. The priority is around a certain aesthetic, body properties and/or willingness to do certain things on camera for money. Don’t know anybody getting into porn because they want to pursuit an actual actor’s career, given the stigma around it basically makes that impossible.

I mean… she certainly can vocalize it, if it matches the ecstasy she is actually showing. It’s that contrast between what is shown and what is said, that to me is the primary issue. Which holds true for any acting tbh.

Something I like about the video of my latest script Rope Priority is that the desire, horniness and yes ecstacy is shown at different places without a single word being uttered. Both aren’t the greatest actors (she certainly acts better than him lol), but it still comes across and plays into the soft domination dynamics of the video. (Personal highlights: When he steps back to get rid of his clothes and she shows a burning for more of his touch, as well as at the end of doggy and during switching)

I think specifically for VR they avoid the guy moving too much cause that can cause motion sickness.

The no talking is probably just so people can self insert.

Rhetoricals work better imo. Is why my preference is usually actress being dominant part and just acting without waiting for or asking for input. But thats genre/kink specific. Asking and waiting for an answer ruins the immersion and the pace. Asking and not expecting an answer or caring about what the answer is adds to it.

Also on the show don’t tell, the moans and faces make or break it during the actual act. Getting that gutteral or primal moan works way better than her saying any canned line.
