Hey everyone, the mod team can get pretty busy with life even though we’d like to do more stuff. It seemed like a good opportunity to bring in more people to help out with some initiatives.
If you’re interested in helping out, please specifically list which categories you want to apply for.
Event planners
Script feedback givers/mentors
Moderators to help us implement changes requested in Site Feedback
Potentially spin up other social or community channels (eg. X/twitter, discord)
I know many of you are already doing these things. So perhaps all we end up doing is formalizing it via a user group. Or we can try to spin up more organized initiatives.
Would like to apply for “Script feedback givers/mentors”… Already been doing it actually.
Also would like to help implementing suggestions in Site Feedback (which I have been active within). However I do not know how much I can achieve since I’ve not been a Discourse mod before. I couldn’t code plugins, that is, but could probably help organizing tags, making QoL changes etc.
Yep I am but also as you said I can only do some since I don’t have the ability to see flags and nor take actual mod action (other than flag which might add to a backlog of flags) on top of that I can only deal with what I can find and see with my one computer. Additionally level 3’s don’t really anything to identify that like Mods do with having an shield next to their name so you don’t need to go to their profiles to find out how a random user was able to do what happened.
All of this together gives the feeling to myself that the powers of level 3 shouldn’t really be used wildly and just because especially because although I know the rules, doesn’t mean I know the rules that the staff are held to and the policies not revealed that may influence their actions. So although I have past experience I don’t expect it to be the same here, it is someone else’s house not my own when I enter here. As a result I’m asking/offering to help as I’ve now seen this topic.
Hi I would like to become a moderator because I look into EroScript every day, report bad stuff or generally look at over 40~70% of the daily created posts manually and read a lot of comments here. Maybe I can help in some other way, but I would be happy if I could contribute something to this site. ;D
