You just need to screw it in. No soldering.
Can you use sleeves from the handy for it?
Yes.
But if you want to use it with the Twist receiver, Iโd recommend a different adapter that fits smaller sleeves.
got mine a couple months ago. Few days ago the arm that holds on your attatchments broke off from the piece that is clamped to the belt. I do think its pretty nice, but ive had a handy for a couple years and that still goes strong. 2 months for 250$ lil steep for my blood.
Should still be within warranty, if you reach to the FunOSR guys (@renwoxing) they will help you out, get you a replacement unit or guide you to fix it.
If itโs just that the plastic parts are snapped, chances are they can be replaced with relative ease. Maybe you can print them yourselves if you have a 3D printer.
Itโs the feature of such DIY devices - they may not be as robust as commercial models, but are open to home maintenance.
Thinking about buying one of these, although the twist price is a bit higher than iโd like.
1 - is it possible to buy the base version, and then buy the twist accessory seperately at a later date? if so, how would i go about doing this?
2 - ive had a look at the topic showing how to connect the twist device to PC and with intiface, im not sure i understand the situation with the twist featureโฆ do i connect the device to my PC and use intiface to do all of the motions? or is there some other way? qdot says something about the twist not being supported by intiface as it is too obscure of a feature to implement, if this is true, how do scripts with twist work with this device?
P.S - Sorry if this isnt accepted format for this site, this is literally my first post
Okay, done a bit more digging and found the answer to both questions (i think), But one thing i still cant findโฆ
What case did you get with it/where can i get one? is it a standard case? if so, what are the dimensions?
