You guys helped with Mirrorfolder to keep drives in sync. Is there a similar simple app to make a bootable copy of the c: windows drive? Something small and handy no bells and whistles.
Do you mean something like a bootable USB-Drive?
No I mean copy of bootdrive that is bootable. Like Superduper or carbon copy cloner on mac.
Oh ok, i didnt know you want to make windows bootable on a mac.
You could use VMware fusion. Make an image of the Windows-computer and use that to boot it on mac with vmware fusion.
I dont know how good you are with computers but to get quick help and answers on that you could use chatgpt which helps as good as ppl here and you get instant answers.
No I dont want to boot on mac. I would like an app on windows to backup c: and have it bootable on windows. Apps like Superduper or CCC that make this possible on mac, not windows.
You can use Macrium Reflect for that and there are many other programs u can use.
May i ask for the purpose? Is it only for a backup in case anything breaks or do u want a “second pc” for a specific software?
Just if it breaks. Macrium looked quite bloated just looking for something simple.
Maybe AOMEI Backupper is a little bit simpler (i didnt use it myself).
Or if you need it even simpler (but with less options) u can use the integrated “Windows-Backup” in Windows.
What about EaseUS Disk Copy? That looks good.
The industry standard backup tooling for most things is veeam.
Get the veeam windows agent. It’s lightweight takes volume shadow copy of windows and let’s you push the images wherever you want.
When you want to recover you make a veeam recovery boot drive and just point it to your repo and it’ll block level recover
Nice and there is a 10 workload free edition.
