Sinc a picture with a script

Hello, I wish to script mangas in a way where I can browse through the pages at my own pace. Meanwhile once I’m on a page, the page’s script plays (in a loop or not)…

Is it possible to achieve this with an already existing software (such as funscritplayer) or would that require a brand new one ?

Thanks.

Hey Man,

I’ve never seen anything like what you’re describing, but it’s an interesting idea.
The only way I’ve seen manga scripted was in a video format with some voice acting added on top.

You could try Handy Control in the software category and use its chapter feature to jump when you change page. It’s not what you are looking for but maybe good enough.

Easiest way for pictures would be to use ffmpeg to generate a slideshow video or single image video with a script associated. Don’t make it too short as seamless looping isn’t really a thing yet. Or use bluetooth.

For manga, if you want to zoom into individual panels, that could be done in Kdenlive or some other video editor. A lot more work, though.

A simple solution would be to find some sort of player that let’s your use pictures & scripts…
But it doesn’t exist yet does it ?

Next time I have the occasion to tinker with thehandy i’ll try something… since you can open a picture with VLC media and it loops itself for around 10 sec by default maybe you can make scriptplayer to work with it… and by extending the duration… idk we’ll see.
