Hello! I’m very intersted in SLR, but I own a Solace Pro and a Quest 3.
Is there a way to use SLR with the Lovense Solace Pro (maybe through Intiface or DeoVR?)?
If that’s not possible, are there any VR+script alternatives to SLR?
Thanks in advance!
SLR allows a small amount of monthly script downloads, so you could download a few scripts to use with any device compatible with scripts.
For alternatives, you could look into the list of Handy partners (filter for VR) and see if they support the Solace Pro:
Searching the SLR forums contains a few responses regarding why the Solace isn’t supported yet.
Playback performance on the Solace is sub optimal and scripts will never be able to be played back to the user as intended due to the physics limitations of its mechanism of movement
We currently do not, nor do we have any plans at this time, to support the Lovense Solace, mainly because the device unfortunately lacks positional control which is crucial for accurate timing and depth playback
Most scripters here optimize their work for playback on TheHandy (or more advanced devices like OSR2, SR6 etc.).
Anyways, Intiface Central v2.6.4 support Solace (see IoST Index for a complete hardware support list).
HeresphereVR is available on Quest3 which supports connectivity to intiface via the timestamp server. Mentioned in this post
I don’t know how to set it up since I don’t have a Quest3. It might require a PC link or something since Intiface is only supported on iOS/Android/Win/Linux/Mac.
But can I access SLR via Heresphere? This is the link I’m missing. I’m familiar with Intiface, but I’m not willing to pay SLR without being able to use the Solace…
I don’t know the current status, but I assume nothing has changed. It was possible at one point, then SLR changed things so it wasn’t possible to use the API:s anymore. Reading between the lines SLR want to “setup a deal” first, probably getting monetary compensation.
It’s kind of a mess IMHO, and it’s the big drawback with SLR. They act like Apple and seems to be aiming for a closed ecosystem where only their stuff works together smoothly. That is why you can read many negative comments about SLR here every now and then.
However, SLR isn’t alone in trying to lock down their content. VRBangers “require” that you use Playa as VR player and also removed their support for downloading videos offline on their websites. Soon after a bunch of other VR sites followed, first those in the same network as VRBangers, but there are others outside the network that done it iirc.
So my conclusion is that you will only be able to get a working setup if you use locally downloaded content from SLR (and others). Since SLR script subscription has limited downloads and only support unlimited streaming, an SLR sub is probably not a good option for you.
Thank you a lot my friend, very through response.
Happy funscripting!
Just curious, were those forum posts about the Solace or Solace Pro? Like, the Solace Pro is not great but it should at least deal with most scripts like, ok. The regular Solace, however, is firmly in the “will never work correctly with script based positioning” group because of the flywheel mechanism it uses.
Seems that they were for Solace.

However, here is a similar comment about support for Solace Pro:
> We currently don’t have any concrete plans to add native support at this time but we do highly recommend users to purchase much higher performing and more highly immersive and true to life stroker devices such as the Handy toy which we already natively support (as well as the upcoming SLR Melody Sex Toy in the near future!)

TBH, I wasn’t aware that the differences were that big. I just used search with the intent to see what SLR said about their support for the device.
