SLR Toy v Handy Comparison Video

Keep an eye on the range, response time and the ability to handle slow precise movements. Both connected via Bluetooth. What may look slightly jerky in the video is actually the ultra-slow, super-precise movements—the kind Handy just can’t replicate.

No cable, no noise, no smell of grease (0 screw nut grease used).

Works seamlessly with a Fleshlight, Keon, Handy and other most popular sleeves.

Manufactured unit will come with greatly improved quality and even less noise.

Comes with a mount.

I’m not a potential customer for this, but I’m curious if it’ll be able to compete with the SR1 2.0 considering both performance and price.
Expecting basically the same performance with a higher price tag which could be justified by software, support and whatever SLR service integration benefits come from being owned by SLR.

(Oh, no cable might be a big selling point actually. Especially given that the users would likely be into VR.)

The video shows that it can do slow movements, but fast movements are not demonstrated.
Another important question is whether the device will be vendor-locked to the manufacturer’s website or whether it can play any funscript with any player.
And lastly whether it can be used with a power supply as well, so the battery doesn’t run out at the worst time.

Is it a video issue or is the SLR device a bit jerky during slow movements? It looks like a stutter or a vibration in the movement when watching the video. There is one stutter just a couple of seconds into the video (~6 sec) for example.

Full range fast strokes demo is coming.

Open for 3rd party software once public API released after initial registration

It works both with battery and cable at the same time. 12V charger.

it’s the opposite of jerky movements - super smooth slow paced precised movement handy can’t match. No stuttering at all

So it’s the video then?

Might be the video. To me it looked buttery smooth, especially side by side with the Handy.

Slow strokes was always a point of contention for me but that,s not an issue anymore with the FUNSR1 anyway.

Oh, right, it’s not said here but Doublevr basically confirmed to me on their forums that they seem to be interested in supporting onaholes as well if it’s more your jam (I know it’s mine, don’t think I’ll ever go back to the Handy sleeve)

I specifically asked for the one pound variety.

So we’ll see.

As of right now I’m not in the market for one but who knows. Plus, with my lifetime + script sub to SLR, well, there’s plenty of time to think about it.

Maybe not the first gen though, especially since next gen MIGHT have twist axis.

Side note, does that mean that SLR videos may have twist axis at some point? One can hope but my boy Realcumber is already overworked as is lol.

The stream shows the juddering but not the downloaded video.
Less an indictment of the toy and more a reflection of our ISPs

Looking forward to it! If it has compatibility with fleshlight and onaholes, while being as quiet as it is, that’s an instant buy for me. I have had a Keon for a long time and have been looking for something new.

Okay without cable means I have to charge it.
Will it be possible to use it while charging?

I had a Lovense toy (overall very unsatisfied with it compared to the handy) and it was very frustrating when it stopped working because it wasn’t charged enough. I won’t go into detail but I use those toys for hours (with some breaks).

Also one of the things I consider a plus for the handy is the open API - What software will be used? I assume SLR propriety software?

Yes

There will be open API coming as well

Would buy it if it has a Power cable and if its usable with HandyControl, ScriptPlayer, MFP, Heresphere, Random Video Player etcc. Funscript players.
@doublevr What exactly IS supported?
How does connecting work? WIFI, Bluetooth, Intiface? Buttplug.io?

Absolutely! Our toy will come with a power cable, so you can enjoy it both while charging and without charging—just like a phone.
As for compatibility, we don’t have native support for HandyControl, ScriptPlayer, MFP, Heresphere, or Random Video Player at launch. However, we do offer an open API, making it easy to connect our device with a variety of interactive apps. If you’re curious, we’d be happy to share details about our API documentation soon!
And it will work with BLE and WiFi.

That’s really good to hear that we will be able to use it how we want

Yes please do that. How does it actually look like comparing to FUNSR1 2.0 ?
