SR6 Help with mounting and homing position

Hi, I have had my SR6 for a few months now but only used it 3 times or so. The reason is 1. I can’t seem to get the mount into a comfortable position for me. 2. The homing position of it is a bit to the left and up (noticeable) and I can’t seem to work out what numbers I need for the software to put it back.

Further explained:-

  1. I can’t seem to get the mount into a comfortable position for me as I sit in my chair and have my back against the back of the chair but it seems like the way I need to use this is for the handy to be tilted up a lot to fit me under it and not be horizontal with my lap. But the problem with that is that the way you power it and plug it into the pc are on the bottom of the SR6 so that wire hits the chair at the angle I want bending the ports etc so I’m unable to do it that way. (I will attach some pictures of what I use to mount it) One way I have found that it works is if I kind of almost lay down in my chair and make sure I’m on the very edge of my chair so the machine can float off and the wires can dangle down. This get very uncomfortable very quickly so isn’t really and option either.

  2. The homing position of it is a bit to the left and up (noticeable) and I can’t seem to work out what numbers I need for the software to put it back. Pretty self explanatory but I just wanted to say that it came fully centered and great but the first thing I read that you had to do was flash it with an update which I did and now it centers horribly. I tried to ask the person I bought it from but they basically said they set it up right so it’s my responsibility (Which is true just wanted some guidance). I know it has to do with those numbers in the same software I used to flash it but for the life of me I can’t work out which numbers are needed even after trial and error. Also side note when I use something that controls the SR6 I can get it back to centered but as far as I know you can’t use that to permanently change the homing.

I would like some help with both of these if possible and also would like to know how you personally set it up when you use it at your desk like me while playing games.

Sorry for the long post and if it doesn’t quite make sense I don’t really use forums and post etc. Also I’m happy to answer any questions you might need to know to help. Thanks.

I use this but flipped upside down and clamped on my desk.

Don’t have an SR6 but an OSR2, if you use MFP I know you can set a designated Autohome position for each axis. You’re probably looking to mess with the board settings or something but I’ve got nothing regarding that.

I’ll try answering 2. Depending on the firmware used would make it easier or harder i suppose?

I used Khrulls 0.47b Khrull’s pateron, free
This exact one for me - TCode_ESP32_Release_v0.47b-esp32doit-devkit-v1.zip
Flash the device, connect just the usb to the device then connect wifi using the given pass in the download “tcode_6969” without the quotes of course. once connected open a webpage to tcode settings

Change to SR6 in device type, the menu button will flash for a restart, let it then reconnect again. I’d then adjust the zero column 1 at a time until it moves in the direction you need it to so adjust Right from 1500 to 1400 for example.

Go through until you get it centered where you want it, you can set max ranges too if you scroll down the page though i’ll be honest i’ve never tried so i’m unsure if other programs would use their own settings regardless for that? Once setup i’d export your settings somewhere for if you reflash in the future
