Handy sleeve alternatives

Received my MOD Sleeve Bundle from TheHandy/Ohdoki yesterday and gave them a spin. [MOD_sleeve_Bundle_Grey_Final_v1-1024x1024] Very early Second impressions, but here are some notes: The basic form factor follows the True Grip Gen 2 sleeve pretty closely. 3 weeks update on the MOD Sleeves. I tried them a couple more times but it just wasn’t a great texture and I had some recurring problems with keeping them in the strap. So they dropped out of the rotation. Fastforward a couple weeks and, on a whim, I decided to give them another shot. Meh, I was kind of into the scratchy feeling this time so it was working on the long strokes. Short strokes combined with the “fingernails” wasn’t great. I see this as “you get what you pay for”.

I wasn’t really speaking from experience, but referencing the number of broken cup problems reported here. My handsfree solution cost just a little more than what they’re charging and has been solid as a rock for years. I’ll give you that getting a complete system versus having to piece the components together is an added value, but IMHO the cup weakness was an unforced error that should have been seen in testing.

What’s wrong with it?

It didn’t really live up to the hype. Grain of salt because I’m not a girl, but a lady I was dating at the time took it for a couple rounds and rejected it. Weird form factor. The ultrasonic just comes across as normal vibe so no gain there. There were enough problems with syncing scripts that my girl lost interest.

So, to reiterate, different and/or new isn’t always an improvement.
That said, I will likely buy The Handy 2 for the same reason I keep buying the new Handy sleeves: My body loves the Handy 1 but still craves new experiences.
