Features that seem interesting

But honestly, it still looks very robotic

All features summary by GPT

:robot: AI & Interaction Features

  • Continuous Learning AI: Learns from how you talk and interact, so its personality and responses evolve over time.
  • Generative Voice: The doll responds out loud — you can speak to it by name, and it will reply with voice, expressions, and even emotions.
  • Persistent Memory: Memory is stored so the AI remembers your interactions.
  • Personality Switching: You can change its personality or roleplay scenario (e.g., coworker, goth, tradwife) to suit different moods.

:brain: Companionship & Emotional Connection

  • Conversational Companion: Designed for daily conversation, emotional connection, and bond-building — not just one-off interactions.
  • Routine Companionship: Supports ongoing interaction beyond physical use.

This is nothing new the tech already exists:

To be honest, this is nowhere near good. The expressions and movements still feel stiff and very robotic. But I understand that with the tech we have right now, this is a start. Maybe in the future we’ll have sex dolls that walk, talk, express emotions, and feel like a real human.

I also wonder if people would really want to buy this for $4,000–$8,000(estimated from lovense site) just for the AI feature. There are far more premium, extremely detailed, and better-looking dolls available on the market, but they don’t have AI features:

They even have dolls modeled after pornstars, and it’s shocking how alike they look:

Another thing I was wondering about is how much hassle it is to store, maintain, and clean something this big not to mention hiding it if someone is visiting🌚.

If anybody owns one, I would love to hear what it feels like to actually own one.

The use of generative AI in marketing always makes me lose confidence/goodwill in a product.
Just because the doll has features powered by AI doesn’t mean it makes sense for Lovense to use AI to show off the product.

Until these thing can fuck suck or jerk me autonomously its useless. Imho

They just need to combine the looks and LLM ability of this doll with the function of this robot revealed 3 months ago. Then we’d be talking, the two worlds have not overlapped yet. I figured out how to imbed but I find it weird you have to make a whole separate reply for it to work

I assume thats an Ai concept ?

The doll page is so full of AI and CGI BS that it’s an immediate giveaway that they’re trying to squeeze as much as they can from the empty AI-something-give-us-your-money buzz.

There’s almost no information about the product to create realistic expectations of the technical side, which is the only potentially interesting part. Also:

  • Is the AI use free forever (doubt it) or is that an expensive subscription?
  • What will support be like in the doll and electronics?
  • Is the doll controlled by the phone? There’s a noted LCD display somewhere, but is that on the doll or a separate device?
  • etc…

The only thing I would be interested to know is the sensors on the doll and how they perform.
If they’re decent over a wide area and that info could be transmitted to an external device in some accessible and open format, now that could make dolls with sensors really interesting, as then all you’d need to care about would be the receiver device for that sensor information and all kinds of cool stuff could come from that.

100% just them using it as an excuse to get investors excited onboard the AI hype train. If they even bring out a product, it’ll be a piece of shit. You’d be better served buying something from Tantaly for wayyyy less if you’re after a doll.

Its a step in the right direction, but it’s still just a doll. The real magic comes when they start animating them. If you haven’t been paying attention, the humanoid robot race has taken off and we have some major players. Over the next decade they are going to become very mainstream and people having them in their house wont be uncommon. At first our perversions will be satisfied with bolt on upgrades, but eventually someone will start making them ready to go. We’re probably 15-20 years from that though.

The worst part for me is that if the AI hype does eventually die out or if Lovense doesn’t want to support this product anymore and the remote LLM service it’s using shuts down, you end up with just a regular doll that you paid multiple times more than similar products with no upsides.
Also true if your internet is not working for a while.
And this feels like a nightmare for data leaks, in a time where one happens like every week: if the remote service gets hacked, what data will people be able to find out on this doll’s usage? What data does it collect for it to work? If it has “memory” i doubt that everything is local since it’s used to train the AI, so stored on some server somewhere will be the entirety of your history with it.
I imagine that if it gets popular people will develop stuff compatible with it to make it run LLM you can host at home or just more decentralized than a single service chosen by Lovense, a bit like what Intiface did, but at that price and while this has not been opened up a bit I would chance it.
As others have said, there are other dolls that look better, are far less expensive and are probably not spying on me constantly.

Yeah, I agree. AI in marketing makes it harder to trust what you’re getting, especially for hardware like this. And more and more companies are now using AI in marketing, which to be honest feels soulless. It lacks that imperfect human touch, if you get what I’m saying.

Hopefully they’ll share real videos and demos in the future.

From what I can see on their page, I think its body has joints just like humans, and you can move them in any direction, just like a human body’s skeleton allows. You can set her up in any position you want, but from the specifications, I think it can only move its facial expressions by itself.

And yes, the Figure 3 robot is really awesome, but it weighs like 60 kg with all the machinery and electronics combined for it to function. So yeah, I think it’s safe to say the doll might be limited to only changing facial expressions by itself. No atonomous movement for body.

Yep, I think we need some major breakthroughs in material science, robotics and biomechanics, ML, sensor technology and haptics to make an actual humanoid sex doll.

For example: instead of TPE or silicone, self-healing, hyper-elastic polymers that mimic human skin’s stretch, recoil, and micro-texture.

Soft artificial muscles instead of rigid motors.

Yes only the doll’s face moves. Yes the figure 3 weighs 60kg. Congrats, you’ve described half the women i’ve been with!

As for the other things, sensors, scifi skins, fake muscles, etc. Those aren’t needed. We have what we need TODAY to build an ultimate sex robot. The only thing we lack is the people with the skill to make it. All lovense has done here is throw a cell phone app into a doll head with a couple of servos. That’s a long ways away from a walking, talking, fucking, sex robot. The power bills alone for a server farm to control such robots would be more than lovense is worth as a company. The first sex robots we are likely to see will likely be consumer units like the Figure 3 with bolt on upgrades. Now whether those are just simple fleshlight mounting brackets, or people hacking up sex doll torsos and covering the robot with them to make some Buffalo Bill sex robot remains to be seen. But robot butlers will likely be mainstream before we ever see a company make an intentional sex robot.

…weirdly, i’ve been in a relationship with my doll for years, and the idea she’d turn around and start robotically face-timing me is just uncanny valley bullshit. i also don’t give a fuck about sucking vaginas, rotating hips, self heating, wtvr, like i want a plug on the side of my woman, talk about immersion breaking. For me, it’s about the kinaesthetics, she’s kept in a heat blanket during the day so she’s warm and snuggly all night, and always wears a sheer catsuit, so her skin’s protected, and she feels good. And that’s it, don’t even need to have sex with her, just a beautiful warm companion to cuddle up to, spooning all night long, etc. And she’s heavy enough to pin me down during machine sessions, which feels great.

But i know what the limitations are, within those parameters she’s perfect, trying to make her perform like a human is just gonna ruin it. For me.

Curiously, the one robot that’s made me sit up and take notice so far is that Chinese one everyone thought was fake, till they ripped the fabric off. Superb movements. Getting the basics right has to happen first, if you don’t wanna be fucking an animated toaster.

What i do see as an integrating halfway point for sexual robotics would be just getting a manipulator, (hands, tentacles, suborbital battle vagina, wtvr…), to interact with a prone person, then you’ve got a viable mod you can hack your servitor with in the old people home…xD

…i just had to leave this here:

Its dystopic as fuck, but I’ve had that feeling several times in my interactive fapping experience. I’m not sure where my opinion lands on this.
