Could it be a handy competitor? Seems to have a longer stroke length and is wireless, but funscript compatibility would be the deciding factor for me, and the product page doesn’t make that clear.

Just based off the design, joystick will eventually become a problem if its not one of the new types of sensor and depending on how sensitive it is to change settings(stick drift). Buttons are usually a way better input device cause buttons just work or they dont, what happens if you hit a diagonal for input. Buttons are easy to feel around for and press in lowlight situation and you dont have to aim.
Form factor wise it competes with Keon cause it looks like its meant to be held on the side, why else have that shape. (handy can be held but its super fucking awkward) Based on the appearance it might be slippery? idk.
I don’t see any images of the back which would let us see if there’s any grip or holes for accessories.
Don’t immediately see a way to mount it for handsfree, so you’ll likely have to jam it against you and a desk or w/e.
The major design flaw is the slot in the center. If this thing is laying down, lube and other fluids WILL get into the slot. Even if its vertical, shit will get into the slot since its facing towards you. Cleaning will become and issue with the slot.
The other problem with the slot, fucking someone will get their balls or some other fleshy bit caught in the slot. The Handy already had people in this community give us their story about how they used it with the slot on the handy facing up and they got hurt. That was misuse on the user’s part since the handy was designed to be used with the slot facing down/away from the user. This is a slot facing towards the user so there’s a non-zero chance someone’s gonna get some loose skin caught in it.

I am interested, partially because it seems compatible with everything, no Funscript compatibility would be a massive letdown for me but not a deal breaker.
Product page says it comes with 3 straps, I imagine 1 strap is to hold strokers but if the other straps aren’t used to make it hands free somehow I’ll pass.
I suppose the threaded hole at the top could be used to screw it into some DIY hands free setup but the stability of which could be pretty dubious.
The top side has a threaded screw hole for mounting. That’s shown in the pictures.

My first red flag is that all the pics, vids, and animations are computer-generated. If this product is actually available for sale now, why not use actual photos and real videos?
Second red flag is that it appears to be locked to Faptap. Without the ability to use it with other sites makes it a non-starter for me. If you like Faptap, cool. But to me Faptap is 80% useless and not worth regularly using.
Third red flag is no mention of funscript support. This is ES, a non-funscript toy is essentially off-topic here.
Fourth red flag is that wide base form factor. That looks like its designed for the carriage to face you. That would place the base between or close to your inner thighs. Using the 6 inch stroke length and slot as a reference means the bottom of the base is like 4 inches wide with somewhat sharp corners. Not something I want distracting me by digging into my thighs.
Fifth red flag is no apparent hands-free mount.
Sixth red flag is the price. Untested for $250 + S/H?
7th red flag is the “Designed for Privacy” statement. Much of that is suspect or overblowing the significance. And we know all it would take is one offer and companies sell our data in a flash.
8th: “the most realistic sexual simulation known to man” Seriously? Untested and unreviewed product, fuck you.
9th: same two-inch strap as The Handy and all the associated issues.
10th: The “are you man enough?” challenge. What an absolute douche.
11th: FapTapAI is not particularly good in my humble opinion so centering the product around it means the experience will largely be not particularly good.
12th: 35 decibels? Bullshit, prove it.
13th: “Go ahead and do your research – X3 is by far the best product in the industry.” Again, bold claims for an untested and unreviewed product. Its this kind of unsupported douchebag autofellatio claims that immediately get my hackles up.
14th (and I’m now bored of this): Fleshy is owned by Small Big Brands LLC which is headquartered at 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801. A quick Google search reveals that 30 N Gould St is infamous for the number of fictitious and/or fraudulent and/or criminal businesses that are registered to that address.

I didn’t account this hole for mounting for a reason. That is not a hole for handsfree mounting, its for a phone or tablet holder. If you use that hole designed to hold up a phone or tablet to try to hold up the whole machine, something is gonna break, snap, strip etc.
That single hole would need to have something screwed into it that can withstand the entire weight of the machine, which is battery powered so its heavier than non battery powered machines, as well as an entire sleeve that might have a plastic case. On top of the weight you have to account for the movement. If this machine reaches the same level of speed/accuracy of The Handy this thing is gonna get rocked up and down REALLY fast on one point of contact.

For me, one criterion is enough, this is a device from FapTap. For more than a year now, they have been unable to sort out trivial things on their website. So fuck this device

The marketing for the device is misleading, like straight up lying at points, and the company has a poor track record of creating these kinds of devices.

I don’t think it’s fair to call it a full on scam.
The device will likely work, it’ll just be quite disappointing and fall short of the promises made.
What about the design makes you doubtful? The sharp angles?

Dunnno about Flag 2, i don’t think it’s hard locked to FapTap, so much as that’s the only way to make it synchronous with porn, so far? I suppose that’s a soft lock.

A realistic sixteenth flag, and the one that made me sit up and take notice, would be the subscription service you need to access Faptap properly! A wank machine with a subscription service, classy. And they cleverly lean into the consumer product worries by offering ‘free replacements for life’ of their somewhat overpriced device. Clever, because of course traditionally sex devices have a ‘NO RETURNS’ policy, for obvious reasons. And though the customer may well be covered by consumer law, they may not be aware of that, and opt for a subscription, in part because the initial cost of the machine is so high (classic financially added value, pricing an item higher than it’s worth to add value to it). There’s no mention of sub prices, i’m guessing the entire business model is based on the idea of churning out the machine as cheap as possible, and just replace broken ones for loyal subscribers as and when, to maintain customer loyalty. Complete speculation, but how many months sub equals cost price of one cheap machine? two? three? Money for old rope, innit…?
