Hi everyone, I’ve been away for a while and I noticed that editing your topic always bumps it up in the categories. I see that unfortunately the problem is still there, and it’s still the same people abusing it.

Yet, that’s what I’ve done in the past.
I’ve reported this several times, I’ve had to justify it with multiple screenshots, etc.
I no longer have the energy to redo all that when I see that nothing has changed.

I just went through your report history to make sure of this.
This is not true. You’ve voluntarily shared screenshots inside the post you reported and we agreed to take down that post and confronted the OP.
Every report following that was handled without any response. Some approved some not.
If you think someone is bump abusing report it.

I made it specifically to be able to edit tags without bumping

Of course I never said I was forced to do that lol
I think it’s also up to the moderators to pay attention to this, given that the problem has been persisting since 2023, when I first reported it, and that it was already happening before, by the same people.
You have reminded us we have a planned solution we forgot about so your job here is done
There are also some problems with dead links (I can only imagine how much of those we have)

After verification this is not entirely true, for few post yes but for others no you can check it
with the pen icon.
Exactly the same URL, exactly same video hosted at the same day same month, check info on mega link, this post are just re edited to bump his own topic, just check between the last modification of the topic on the link of the hosted video
can you flag a post or two for example? (or link them here)

This was the problem that was the reason of making the plugin
Authors can’t mass-update all their topics for e.g. new patreon link because that would bump them all
So while many authors choose to limit senseless bumping as much as possible, some don’t

I do fear i fall in this category but my circumstance is that the old links in my post lead to a dead patreon link. So i had to update the dead patreon link with a working one. Would be nice if there was a way to circumvent the auto bumping. It felt weird after updating the links to see a wall of all the post i had to edit.
Yeah I figured most people edited their posts just to fix links or add tags. Cause there have been a bunch of people having their accounts banned, so they’d have to fix links to lead to the new location to buy scripts.
