I’m sooo excited to finally share this with you!! I’ve been quietly working in the shadows for the past 6 months, and it feels a bit like opening a secret treasure chest I’ve designed a creative space for funscript lovers, and I really, really hope you’re all going to love it.
This is the very first big release, so please be gentle with it (and me ). There might be a few bugs or tiny hiccups here and there, but I’m already working on a bug reporting feature so we can fix things and make everything better together!
I truly hope to see you all in The Lab.
Happy scripting
Wauw, that was fast, I’m really sorry I tried to sign up as Researcher myself for a 7 day trial just now, and I cannot reproduce the issue. Which tier are you using?
I’ve created a web-based platform for creating and working with funscripts But I do not know my way around this forum yet, and I cannot edit the topic or add a screenshot to the topic itself…
It is nice to see other script and building platforms come to the site; many of the options don’t work for Mac OSX without a kludge or hack, or aren’t very intuitive to folks not steeped in development or coding - or have hardware requirements that skip over people who aren’t throwing money at the latest GPUs or chip sets.
No idea if this is one of those yet or not (maybe get a demo video uploaded, quickly) before subscribing - but more options to script and edit, isn’t a bad thing.
Some of you have reported that you’re unable to log in to The Lab despite having an active subscription. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and am actively working to identify the cause.
I’ve added additional error logging to the login process. If you’re experiencing this issue, please try logging in again—any failed attempt will generate an error report that will help me diagnose and resolve the problem more quickly.
Thank you for your patience and continued support.
Dope, works now. I havent gotten around to doing a video YET but this should make it so much simpler thank you.
My question is, how long will it be free?
Well, it really depends on how you define free There will always be a free version of ToyScript, with support for video, single-axis scripts, and other simple features. I’ve tried to balance pricing tiers with feature access based on how much load each feature puts on the server — mostly because compute power isn’t free… and also a girl’s gotta eat
Really appreciate your input on this. I’ll start working on a demo video ASAP—and I actually noticed the same thing on my Mac.
When I first started scripting, I felt like the space could really use a more intuitive, platform-independent tool, which is what got me started. Running everything in the browser has a lot of advantages, but it does come with trade-offs. For example, things like video playback rely heavily on your hardware, and browsers don’t always allocate enough resources for smooth performance. On my own machine, something like a 60-minute 4K video can definitely start to struggle.
I’m actively experimenting with ways to improve this on my end, so you guys won’t have to rely on hacky workarounds just to get a smooth experience.
So far, I’ve mainly been building around my own needs as a creator—but I’d genuinely love for you guys to be more involved. Feature ideas, feedback, requests—everything is welcome and really helps shape where this goes next
MFP, XTP, and the newer FunPlayer all have ideas and suggestions peppered throughout their respective threads - I assume you’ve browsed all of them, and might just get some of the same suggestions/wants repeated…
