I know this is a known issue but i used a work around with the adb push command on the sidequest app. But that doesnt seem to work anymore either since the newesr Update. Its so frustrating since i have about a thousabd videos download which i cannot watch. Any help is appreciated
Make sure you have the latest software update installed on the quest 2.
Meta got rid of the “USB” connection setting and it is now supposed to be automatic.
- Install and open the oculus app on your PC BEFORE you connect the quest to your USB.
- Once you connect the Quest to your PC’s USB, you should see a pop-up requesting you to enable quest Link. (choose “not now”)
- You should see a USB notification pop up. If you miss it, go to “notifications” (bottom row of the quest control panel) and click on the USB notification.
You should now see the quest in windows explorer. If not, repeat the process and watch your PC window for a notification asking you what your PC should do when the Quest is connected (this should happen IMMEDIATELY after you click the USB notification in the Quest).
The PC notification pops up very quickly and then disappears, so be ready for it.
Yes. The problem is that the transfer just fails. It does it snd even the storage from the quest gets used but the moment the transfer is finished it dissapears like nothing happened
Ok, gotcha.
Yeah that is definitely a known and irritating bug. It happens to me every now and then and only improved when I replaced my USB 3 cable for a newer link cable from Meta. That helped the success rate go way up, but still bugs out every now and then.
Larger files are still the biggest issue for me, but it helps to try different folders on the quest until is finally copies and then moving the file to your preferred folder.
