Vacuglide 2 BRICKED (died)

I’ve had my VG2 for a little less than a month. I used it Saturday night, then when I went to use it Sunday night it would not power on at all. Power cord is getting power to it, tried it in multiple outlets all of which work. No lights, no sound, no nothing. No exposure to extreme heat, cold, moisture, or any chance of physical damage. It literally hasn’t left the same room since I’ve gotten it.

I’ve reached out to the company just a few minutes ago so haven’t heard back yet. Hoping this doesn’t turn into the most expensive brick I’ve ever bought. I was reluctant to spend this amount of $ on this type of device but did anyway.

Not going to be fun if I have to ship this thing back, I didn’t save the box, it’s ginormous.

Will keep this post updated. Also posted on Reddit.

If it breaks this early, its most of the time a factory defect. Devices (especialy if expensive) are made durable enough in such way they should last for years. Anywhere within a month shouldnt happen, and if it happens by user error, should be very clear (you can get things like smoke if you used the wrong voltage).

Warranty (assuming it isnt user error) normaly handles this, it can sometimes just take a few weeks before its resolved. Warranty is most of the time an issue when it recently expired
(note for EU users: its worth to check your national system, some countries have significantly expanded rules here. Just because warranty expired from the seller doesnt always mean you dont have any. In several cases the producing company still has to give warranty, its just more hassle and can involve longer delays before its fixed).

It surely is anoying (because you miss out on a good experience in this case), but no need to worry. No decent company would risk losing reputation here, and the way autoblow has been promoting the device, im quite sure they are going to handle it the good way.
It might end up being a repair and take a month, but its still better than having to pay for it.
(I dont know how good autoblow is on this, i never needed it for the few devices i did have)

I heard back within a few hours. They needed some info which I sent. I’ll update when I hear more from them.

I sent them a video and they replied that this problem is “out of the ordinary”. They are sending a replacement and want me to send the broken one back.

I asked if I could wait until I recieve the replacement to ship the broken so I could use the box for shipping (I don’t have the original box).

They also said they are sending free lube, stroker keeper and the extra tight seal for the inconvenience. I replied that I already have the extra tight seal and don’t care for it. I requested a discount code for accessories instead of those items. I was thinking of trying the Autoblow AI sleeve/case with the Vacuglide 2, so that would be better for me.

Was it a dick move asking for different freebies? Surprised they didn’t look at my original order and see that I already had the extra seal.

So far I’m impressed with the customer service, even if they send me extra stuff I don’t want lol.

It’s definitely not a dick move to ask, they are the ones who sent a faulty product. But also, it wouldn’t be a dick move for them to deny the request.

Update: My replacement product is being shipped and is expected to arrive Friday!

I told them about the accessories, and they instead gave me a discount code to order whatever I want.

This was all settled in one day, I am impressed and happy with how things turned out.

Warranty service done right, is the kind of thing that puts brands on top of their categories.
Glad some folks out there understand this as well and took care of you!
