HereSphere prioritizes file naming conventions when trying to load settings for new videos that haven’t been played before. If there are no file naming suffixes, the player will guess at the type of video based on its aspect ratio, which can occasionally be incorrect. If the video has been played before, HereSphere uses the saved settings that were set previously. Most studios already name the files correctly, so I’d recommend just sticking to the filenames provided by the studio. If you’re using xbvr, it also relies on those filenames to match to the correct scene.
If you have a bunch of vids that don’t have the correct filename suffixes, then k00gar’s video frame detection app might be useful, though I haven’t tested it.
Ok so made this work at last. Im not so good with command line tools paths and so. What would be really nice if you could detect and rename the resolution 1080p 7K 8K as option if I can put up a feature request. Also there seems to be a new model? Had to pip install --user “scikit-learn==1.6.1” Not sure if never Model is useful?
Thanks alot for this tool.
Dunno would really love a drag and drop projection extractor app in Heresphere naming conventions. Koogars command line finds _180_SBS and _FISHEYE_SBS and thats about all.
So if someone finds the time, a drag and drop tool would be cool.
Sorry, been away / less active for quite some time due to injury, medication, recovery, and sorry for mentioning it again it it’s the case, it seems my memory is not good as before and I forget stuff.
What exactly do you need, drag and drop that auto rename ? The cli mode should already do that (without the drag and drop), either simulates or actually performs the renaming if I remember well.
