VRBangers new script feature on site

I’ve noticed VRB has started to include script options directly on their site/video platforms, does anyone know if these are made with AI, handcrafted or a mix? Also wondering if they are downloadable like Badoink or if they are token activated. Not subscribed currently so cant investigate myself.

edit: just saw a post on reddit from last week saying they are pretty bad lol

I hadn’t seen that. Looks like you need to use 1) handy, 2) connect using Play’A VR App. Given those restrictions and the general lack of downloadable videos VRB has now, I’d guess their is no way to directly dl the funscript.

Might be worth some inspecting of network traffic to figure out how it works under the covers and maybe get them downloaded anyway. Just a thought.

They are bad! Was curious, try it once and fck leave … AI for sure and a bad one.

It has been my experience so far (now scripting VR content for over 2 years (oh god…has it been that long already?)) that anytime a studio offers a script that isn’t explicitly made by a human (like with what @Realcumber does with SLR scripts…shoutout to you sir) that those scripts are hastily put together AI generated scripts and are (strictly my opinion) absolute trash. Is AI getting better at generating scripts? Kind of, but they will never be able to interpret a lot of hidden actions that a professional scripter can. As with all things sadly, you get what you pay for.

They are horrible. Kinda a mix of AI and someone then just aligning speeds. They actually kinda should remove those, because they fuck up the experience of some of their great scenes (they are that horrible).

There was an email for feedback on the Device Settings window. I sent an email with some suggestions and also telling them the scripts are unusable. Surprisingly, they got back to me and said they’re planning heat maps in the beginning of this new year and will let their developers know about the scripts and/or synchronization issues.

That email is no longer there, so I guess they got enough feedback. Hopefully, the scripts become usuable at some point.

They have their own team now. We have scripted around 500 videos from vrbanger: IVDB

Any feedback on our scripts can be sent to florence@ohdoki.com. We are very keen on input, feedback and directions on our scripts:-) And we also go back and fix exsisitng scripts.

Man that sounds like a great job haha. Professional script feedback actioner

Man, I took a quick test with some of those on the site having great scripts on here and honestly they have to be made by AI with some small checks. I can’t compare it directly without scrubbing the script itself (cause of the token), but I immediately felt the difference. I am unfortunately too busy doing even more stuff so won’t contact them, but please, there is such a big difference in immersion that it just does do a disservice to the devices and the whole toystroker niche itself. Good for people that don’t care though, but that’s my point.

Seriously, handmade scripting takes a shitton of time so I always raise an eyebrow when I see things like that and immediately check them. It’s an industry where you just can’t pay someone a monthly salary because people burn out after a few weeks of 40/h scripting per week (which I am almost doing with a normal job on the side). The pay per hour just can’t compare which is why people take shortcuts or stop caring about the details, cause lots of content needs to be scripted so I understand.

Still thanks though.

When you say tested on the site you mean on vrbanger, right? Not from IVDB? Just confirming if you are unhappy with our script, VRbangers own script or both.

The IVBD ones are fine. Except for the ones that seem to have expired. I’ll admit I’ve been lax to download new tokens, so I’m not sure if there are updated ones. I’m not subscribed to Dezyred, so I can’t comment on them.

they are that horrible, there AI is not I..it,s even better if you do it manually..

It truly blows my mind how hostile VRBangers/VRConk is to scripts and scripters. Even @doublevr, quirks and all, has a better relationship with the scripting community. The mindset to bleed the last drops of blood from the stone never ends well. In fact, you probably could have just licensed whatever mid AI @doublevr is using on SLR but that would have cost money.

Good to know.
